Good for them - hope it comes off. It will make Tynecastle a pretty good ground with lots of other facilities.

im no architect, but is 51 million not rather expensive for 6,000 seats, office and gym and a new cupboard for press conferences?

The Scottish Premier League club say they will submit an application for a new 10,000-seat Main Stand, plus hotel and leisure facilities, in October

 

increase its capacity by nearly 6,000 to 23,000

 

only extending the main stand by 6,000, not adding on 10,000 seats.

I've only been the once, but IMO Tynecastle is already 3/4 of the way towards being a fantastic football stadium. If the new main stand helps keep the noise in even more the atmosphere is going to be intimidating to say the least.
