Guest redbrigade
2-0 down to Luton in the Carling cup. I fear the worst for Cadger down south. Link to comment
E-P-K
. I fear the worst for Cadger down south. Not as much as Halford, Who's mistakes caused the first two goals, And has now got him self sent off. Link to comment

pittodrie_prince
I heard this result on the radio when I got home from band practice. I shuddered and pleaded "please, please, please don't let Anderson be involved in that!" I somehow knew he would be though. Link to comment
pittodrie_prince
As much as it pains me, but maybe Anderson wasn't up to the challenge as much as we thought guys....... I was very tempted to say the same thing. But let's not be too premature. I had doubts when he moved anyway - he's never shown much bottle in Scotland games. He found his level at Aberdeen, I feel. But if he gets a healthy run of games, I'd like to think he could do the business for Sunderland. Link to comment
uni_don
Has anyone got a written report of Anderson's contribution? I'm guessing he's still short of match fitness, but this won't have done his chances of playing any good. However, I think we're overlooking Luton here (and not just cos I'm a fan) - 3-0 at home to a Premier League team. That's bloody well done! Link to comment

The Proclaimer
Higginbotham has joined Sunderland.......another central defender Fullback. Anderson isn't all that he's made up to be. Link to comment
pittodrie_prince
Fullback. Anderson isn't all that he's made up to be. Higginbotham played at centre-half many times for Stoke last season. He was considered by their fans to be the "rock" of their defence, and was club captain. Sound similar to anyone we know? Link to comment
mo don
I said before he left Russell was a good spl player nothing more but no one can have a go at him for having a try just hope he doesnt end up at the old firm in january Link to comment
stubo72
Sunderland Echo only state that Anderson is 'yet to convince'. He wasn't picked out for particular condemnation... or praise... As for him ending up at either of the OF.... Just don't!!!! Link to comment

Slim
He's started one game where he didn't make any mistakes and had about 20 minutes on his debut where he gave away a penalty out of sheer over-eagerness when the game was already lost. F Link to comment
Guest LondonScottish
QUOTE(Robo @ Aug 29 2007, 11:21 AM) Higginbotham has joined Sunderland.......another central defender Fullback. . Nope, he definitely joined to be a centre back, and was still playing centre back yesterday. Link to comment
swaddon
It's early days in his Sunderland career, he just needs time to settle in at Roker Park or whatever it's called now. I can't see him going to Ibrox or Parkhead in January, simply because a player can't move twice in one season. Or at least they can't in Football Manager. Besides, Walter Smith has already signed about fifty centre-backs, I doubt he needs another. On the bright side, now he's in the Premiership, he's a first choice for the Scotland squad. Tord31
Heard a story today from a pretty good source that: Anderson had been asking for a huge pay increase prior to Sunderland move. After dons had accepted Sunderland bid and Ando and his agent had been down to Sunderland his agent went back to Aberdeen with a more realistic deal and the dons were like its too late in the day not interested in negotiating anymore your going.
