Westendorfer
The plane carrying the French squad had to divert to Bergen as weather conditions were too bad to land in Torshavn. They are asking for the match to be postponed, and as the UEFA delegate is also stranded (in Iceland), it looks likely they would be granted their wish. Still, far from ideal preparation for them, even if the game is played on Sunday. http://today.reuters.co.uk/news/articlenew...RANCE-PLANE.XML This article seems to suggest that they are considering taking a ferry, but I think that is a misunderstanding, as a ferry from Bergen to the Faroes would take an age! Westendorfer
L'equipe website seems to think match may go ahead as scheduled (at least I think using a translation tool) http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/breves2007/..._005827Dev.html The team of France envisaged to gain Thorshavn Saturday at midday and to play, as envisaged, the match programmed at 5 p.m., cash for the qualifications of the Euro 2008. No request for carryforward was projected Friday with the hotel Scandic de Bergen, in Norway, where the tricolour delegation was posed after 11 p.m. to spend the night. Link to comment

In my opinion, this can work to our advantage, as long as we beat Ukraine today. France will beat the Faroes regardless of when they play them, but if we could stretch our lead in the meantime by winning today, it would put us 5 points ahead of France (albeit with them having a game in hand) and might just increase the pressure on them when they play Lithuania on Wednesday. NorthernLights24
Where are France playing their game? In the small but modern stadium in the capital of the Faroes or that sh*t hole on the hill we always get sent to? Link to comment
Tevez
Not sure where it was played but they won 6-0! Link to comment

Infact i think we're the only game that they've played on the cliff this campaign. Link to comment
