Guest redbrigade Posted October 17, 2007 Share Posted October 17, 2007 http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30200-1288768,00.html Four England Fans Hospitalised In Russia At least four England football fans have been taken to hospital in Moscow following a fight in the Russian capital ahead of the Euro 2008 qualifier this afternoon.There were some reports that as many as six England supporters had been injured. Police spokesman Evgenii Gildeev said the injured fans had been taken to the Botkan hospital. It was not immediately clear how serious their injuries were. Mr Gildeev said they had been clubbing and drinking in central Moscow in the early hours of the morning and had apparently provoked a fight. He said there had been a total of five fights involving England supporters in the city overnight. The are about 4,500 England fans in Moscow for the match. The police have put 2,400 officers on duty in case of trouble, as well as providing armoured vehicles. Link to comment
