Not usually my cup of tea at all, but I'll give it a watch on that recommendation. Link to comment
maryhilldon
Filth. Liked the book, thought the film didn't do it justice and McAvoy was miscast. Watching it again now and it's genuinely funny as fuck. 1 Link to comment

maryhilldon
Anyone ever went into a wee trance when that melody comes on after the last Film4 film finishes? It's a bit hypnotic. Link to comment

Peter Inglis sucks cocks. Link to comment

I've watched the Deadpool ones, they're actually decent, more adult humour. I've probably seen Logan as well, on in the background when I'm tapping shite into the Hat. Link to comment

Jocky Balboa
Interesting take on Beverly Hills Cop 4 from The Critical Drinker, but I'm not sure I agree with him this time: I personally found it a disappointment and The Message (TM) creeps in; he's been recast as a deadbeat dad, schooled and shamed by a big, strong, independent boss bitch woman. Other than that, the old supporting cast are going through the motions. Link to comment
Jocky Balboa
Just watched Glass last night. No faulting James McAvoy and his performance, but I don't think it's anywhere near as good as Unbreakable. Link to comment

Jocky Balboa
Took my kids to see Twisters at the weekend. Better than I was expecting, albeit still full of American film clichés... Dodgy science. Cowboy alpha male upsets intellectual, big, strong, independent modern boss babe. Alpha proceeds to charm said lady. They go on a daring adventure together. Alpha gets the girl. The end. Despite that, it was enjoyable enough. Link to comment
Jigsaw666
Trap. More like Crap. What has happened with M Night Shyamalan. Couple of great movies to begin with then one pile of horseshit after another. Link to comment

Clydeside_Sheep
What are our thoughts relating to "Alien: Romulus" which is out this weekend? I tend to think that the films are all shit and forgettable, expect the first two which were excellent. I think the last one I saw was Prometheus (?) and I have just learned it has its own sequel. Romulus is (I understand) a stand alone movie, set after the original film (?). So, will this be another desecration of what was once a golden franchise, or a pearl among the dung heap of the latter films? Link to comment
Zeus
A history of violence Nae seen it since I took the blon/wife to see it about 18-19 year ago. (Cineworld doon the beach) First hour is 10/10, last half hour 5/10. Overall 7/10. Decent Link to comment
