My boy and his burd saw it at the cinema last week, he thought it was funny as fuck. Not usually my cup of tea at all, but I'll give it a watch on that recommendation.

I'd suggest you watch the first two and also Logan if you haven't seen them to fully appreciate it.

Filth. Liked the book, thought the film didn't do it justice and McAvoy was miscast. Watching it again now and it's genuinely funny as fuck.

Loved the book and thought the film was fucking brilliant. McAvoy wasn't how I pictured Bruce, but I thought he nailed it.

Peter Inglis sucks cocks.

I've watched the Deadpool ones, they're actually decent, more adult humour. I've probably seen Logan as well, on in the background when I'm tapping shite into the Hat.

Interesting take on Beverly Hills Cop 4 from The Critical Drinker, but I'm not sure I agree with him this time:

I personally found it a disappointment and The Message (TM) creeps in; he's been recast as a deadbeat dad, schooled and shamed by a big, strong, independent boss bitch woman. Other than that, the old supporting cast are going through the motions.

Took my kids to see Twisters at the weekend. Better than I was expecting, albeit still full of American film clichés... Dodgy science. Cowboy alpha male upsets intellectual, big, strong, independent modern boss babe. Alpha proceeds to charm said lady. They go on a daring adventure together. Alpha gets the girl. The end.

Despite that, it was enjoyable enough.

What are our thoughts relating to "Alien: Romulus" which is out this weekend?

I tend to think that the films are all shit and forgettable, expect the first two which were excellent.

I think the last one I saw was Prometheus (?) and I have just learned it has its own sequel.

Romulus is (I understand) a stand alone movie, set after the original film (?).

So, will this be another desecration of what was once a golden franchise, or a pearl among the dung heap of the latter films?
