Seems that around 36 points will get you safe(ish) or play offs at worst, so that has to be their most realistic target. They need at least 27 points between now & the end of the season. So Hamilton/St Johnstone type form for the rest of the season. 8 wins & 3 draws or 7 wins & 6 draws etc.

 

4 of these games come before the Jan window & they are all against the teams just above them, so these are HUGE games for them. Then their New year derby game on the second (probably before they get chance to strengthen). They really have to get points in their next five games unless they plan to sign some fantastic players in January to go on a massive winning run in the last 16 games.

 

They are fast running out of games. They need three times their current total from the last 21 games just to get a play off place.

I think Jackie McNamara has possibly got the worst managerial record of any manager throughout any one year in charge of a football team.

Probably even worse than any Fort William manager has had in the Highland league & that is saying something.

Since his shocking 2015 with Utd. Nae sure how much points he got towards the end of last season since Jan but 5 points in 10 games this season & 0 points in 7 games with York.

 

The guy that was once touted as a great Scottish up & coming manager has been completely found out by now.

Utd now need to win around half their remaining 20 league games to avoid the play offs at worst.

10 wins would see them on 39 points & likely just enough to finish above 11th but are they able to win TEN games
