ZeroTolerance
When is the next major?Australian Open in January There's one more masters event plus the year-end masters cup to go this season. Murray is defending very few points from these events as he didn't qualify for the masters cup. Next up is the Paris Masters Link to comment

NorthernLights24
Murray through to the final of the St. Petersburg Open. He won this last year so hes protecting his ranking points here. He beat 3rd seed Verdasco 6-0 6-3. Its Andrey Golubev in the final for Murray. Checking out his Wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrey_Golubev he has never been to a final like this before. E-P-K
With Federer taking a period of time away from the sport and there not much between Murray and Djokovic he could see himself being ranked number 2 soon. Link to comment

Nespa
I imagine if Murray can semi the end of season masters and hoping Djokovic does poorly in the Australian and loses loads of points and Murray gets to at least the semis he can bridge the gap! Link to comment
minijc
Good to see he is winning these wee tournaments against minnow opposition, keeps his money and points ticking over and he has now got a strong hold on 4th which is good. Link to comment
Bobby Connor
Murray is the real deal. He'll be up to 3rd soon enough and, unlike AFC, probably has his sights set higher. Link to comment
Jocky Balboa
Murray is the real deal. He'll be up to 3rd soon enough and, unlike AFC, probably has his sights set higher. Agreed. At only 21, he is already a better player than Henman and Rusedski EVER were. When you consider that Rusedski reached the US Open Final and Henman reached four Wimbledon semi's (also in a tougher era where there were FAR more world-class players outside the top 3 or 4), I think it's fair to say that he will get several opportunities to win Grand Slam titles. Whether he takes those chances or not though (or ends up as a perennial bottler, like Henman), is another matter. Link to comment
