Travesty they only made 1 series of the High Life.

The Crystal Maze - groundbreaking. Thursday night on the estate, all the kids out playing. Come 9pm it was deserted as we all went indoors to get our fill of Richard O Brien and his mouth organ.

Prisoner was another staple of my youth. Ferguson freaked me out, the big fat lezza that she was. She got her just deserts though.

High Life was hilarious, Alan Cumming showing even then his outrageous campness

Crystal Maze will always be a classic programme in my eyes. Never liked it when Ed Tudor-Pole presented, he was a twat

Prisoner was fucking brutal like and yes Ferguson was probably one of the biggest villains of all time

Not one person mentioned Deadwood. :tumbleweed:

Deadwood is the greatest TV programme ever made. Some of the best characters ever seen on TV and Ian McShane is absolutely incredible!!

Deadwood's closely followed by Dexter and The Wire. As for comedy, nothing comes close to Fawlty Towers and Father Ted.

Anyway, Deadwood is genius:

In no particular order, mine totally dominated by comedies:

South Park

Family Guy

Brass Eye

Jam

Modern Toss (nobody else a fan of this? First series was beyond hysterical, I was frequently actually in pain watching it)

Monty Python

Band of Brothers

Jonathan Creek

Nathan Barley

Alan Partridge (esp. the series in the Travelodge... :hysterical: )

Yes Minister/PM - hopefully the new series is up to scratch.

Sopranos - Clever stuff and was a Wednesday must watch for 2 years

Homeland - every episode had a "what the fuck" moment

Only Fools - never gets old

Fresh Meat - flew under the radar. JP is a ledge

Underbelly - not seen razor yet but looking forward to it

The Wire - TV crack

Luther - better than Sherlock by a mile

Angry Boys - loved all the characters

Modern Family - Clever US TV that's not based on a UK series

Honourable mentions to:

Blackadder 4

The Take

Likely Lads

Life on Earth

Brass Eye

Alan Partridge
