ScottishJohn
Team: Gonzalez, Clark, Anason, Considine, Robertson, Paton, Milsom, Pawlett, Jack, Low, Vernon Don't think I've heard of Anason before, is he an U19 or trialist? EDIT: Or a terrible spelling mistake from our trusty website. Link to comment
SkyeDon
It's Kari Arnason, the guy from Plymouth. It was on North Tonight that he's on trial or "using training facilities." Link to comment

Jack_Glass
I'll take any win and more importantly... a very good performance by the whole TEAM! Link to comment
Jack_Glass
Yas...Pawlett! good lad, he's the one young guy at Aberdeen that I really wanna see do well this season. He's a talent and if he can avoid injury can become a very good player. Could do with hammering the protein & creatine shakes though and build that body up Link to comment
vanderark14
would be great if pawlett got up to full fitness for us. got the potential to make the right wing his own Link to comment
sheepiekev
would be great if pawlett got up to full fitness for us. got the potential to make the right wing his own I agree, but Brown plays him on the left usually Link to comment
vanderark14
I agree, but Brown plays him on the left usually either is fine for me if he is fully fit and injury free. we had high hopes for him but seems to be made of soft stuff and is injured far too often Link to comment
vanderark14
reading elsewhere Nicky Low was the stand out and Pawlett played up front Link to comment
Maguire89
Wow, we finally won a friendly- a rare event Agree that its good for Pawlett that he scored, gives him a confidence boost hopefully after also hitting the net against Gladbach. I'm not sure about Arnason but we shouldn't sign him if he only plays well today, as its only against Deveronvale. Link to comment

vanderark14
So does the result matter tonight, or.....? another run out and more sharpness gained. thats it against highland league sides. hopefully no injuries Link to comment
Jack_Glass
either is fine for me if he is fully fit and injury free. we had high hopes for him but seems to be made of soft stuff and is injured far too often Yeah he seem lightweight; like I said, if they can beef the lad up, give him the muscles n strength to take the knocks he'll be a good player. Some young lads like Fyvie have above average testosterone levels, like Rooney as well. They have natural bulk. These lads tend to last the whole season better, especially when the bigger/older guys hit em hard. I was similar to Rooney/Fyvie when I was younger physique wise and the only serious injury I got was a broken ankle n leg when I turned to quickly on an artificial surface. I was 30 though before that happened. Prior to that I can't ever remember missing a game, so I was either fortunate or had the physique to handle years of footy. Helped of course because I warmed up more than most folk and did not flinch out on tackles. Hopefully Pawlett's physique will improve now Knox is training them. Link to comment
Jack_Glass
I agree, but Brown plays him on the left usually Messi is often player on his weaker side (if he has one) cutting inside and he does incredible damage that way. Even SAF used Ronaldo that way to great effect. Link to comment

Jack_Glass
Counts for f**kall min The result does matter, even more so against weaker opposition. The performance is most important, that's a given. It helps confidence and will definately help Considine/Pawlett's confidence. Losing to any highland league side is not acceptable at all. Link to comment
ScottishJohn
reading elsewhere Nicky Low was the stand out and Pawlett played up front Probably cause he's a better striker than Paton. Link to comment
Jazzer_Bett
I was looking at the ics of Pawlly in action the other day and hge lookled like he had bulked up a bit, his legs looked pretty filled out as well - not like thge polio pins he was sporting early last year. Superb wee player who can really fly when on form. Link to comment
Jack_Glass
Aye ....Messi....Ronaldo....Pawlett ............just trips off the tongue eh?! You know what I mean. A fit Pawlett could be our Messi/Ronaldo at our level. Just used them as well known examples of right footers often played on the left wing. Link to comment

Jacko min, if you read most of my posts since Saturday you'd see I'd argued with most, defending my results definitely matter corner. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
He'll be a good "like new signing" to replace Bebo, so we don't have to worry about that now Link to comment
