We probably were the better the team today and deserved the 3 points, if we had done the unthinkable and scored a goal.

Pawlett should have been on from the start Clark is just a nobody.

Gonzalez looked dodge. Jamie will walk straight back in.

To go on about not making a panic signing and having a good squad what was actually the point in signing Chalali?

Its a fight from now on imo.

Well that looked unlikely from the off tbh. Sounds like a draw was a fair result for two utter pish teams.

Radio scotland saying hibs were the better team,

They also commented on how bad both teams were and that the league table tells its own story

By no means were we good. But we did create the better opportunities, had the bulk of the possesion over the second half and deserved a goal. Both Pawlett and Magennis should have scored. Don't think they had one clear cut chance the whole match.

Would agree that the idea was right at times, but the wrong players were on the pitch to execute it. Can't understand why Brown didn't change anything at half time, there was no room for the Fyvie behind Vernon idea to work. Pawlett should've started and Magennis is more suited to lone striker role than Vernon. However we should not be playing with just one striker against Hibs. We're lucky they're not that great either.

Gonzalez - Looked shaky today, he had a couple of decent saves from long range shots in the second half. Some of his kicking was very poor though. 5/10

McArdle - Always frustrating to see him at right back. Poor passing, can't control the ball, but defended well enough. 5/10

Mawene - Kept O'Connor quiet for most of the game. 6/10

Arnason - Defended well too and was keen to start attacks. He is one of the better players in this squad. 6/10

Considine - Like others, defended well enough but he is no left back as we all know. Our attack is poor because of this. 5/10

Clark - You wouldn't have known he was playing. 3/10

Osbourne - Fairly quiet today, but was keen to keep the ball on the floor rather than it spending most of the time in the air. 6/10

Milsom - Struggled to make much of an impact but towards the end was involved in some good play down the left. Nobody wanted to play it into the box and it just ended up going back to defence. 6/10

Foster - Was pretty lively, went really close in the first half when he cut inside and his shot went just over. Some poor ball control at times though but he can cause a problem , would have made more of an impact on the right. 6/10

Fyvie - Not suited to the role behind the striker. It didn't work at Tynecastle a few weeks ago so god knows why Brown went with it again today. 5/10

Vernon - Not got enough to his game to play up front on his own. Had a good cross in to the box which Magennis should have really got a foot to. 5/10

Subs

Magennis - We seemed to be a bit more of a threat up front when he came on. Had a good shot palmed away by Stack towards the end. 2/10

Pawlett - Should have started, he offers a lot more to us in an attacking sense from the wide area. 2/10

Mackie - No time to make an impact. n/a

First two bold bits.... No we did not.

Third bold bit.... They had more than we did. O'Connor had a couple & booth had one.

Pawlett's chance was a good one yes but no better than their long range that the keeper had to save :dontknow:

You were watching a different game than me.

Only saves Gonzalez had to make was from a couple of long range efforts. There was clear cut one on one chances.

I listened to it on the BBC Scotland website and the consensus from the commentators was that it was dire and not a great spectacle to watch. Richard Gordon commented that Calderwood's post match interview was one of the most candid and honest he had ever heard. In contrast Brown's was full of the usual contrived positivities which make you want to wretch. He even said we are only a little way of being a top 6 club !!!!!

It's great to have such an optimistic outlook, but surely he must see the realities of the situation we are in. It's quite worrying if he doesn't.

thought foster was one of our better players tbh. always tried to get forward and everything positive in the 1st half went threw him. i actually think this is the first time i've ever praised him

Foster easily our best player today, was our main attacking threat for 70 mins,

I thought this too.

For the record, what I thought about the others.

Gonzalez - Did what he had to. Dependable. Perhaps a bit flashy wi' some dives...but solid enough. (7)

McArdle - Looked a bit like, well, a centre half playing in an alien position. (5)

Mawene - Commanding enough. Especially with heeders. (6)

Arnason - Poor first half. Caught short ona few occasions. Better second. (5)

Considine - See McArdle.

Clark - Abysmal. (2)

Osbourne - Average. (5)

Milsom - Very poor first half. Like Arnason, did better 2nd. (6)

Foster - Got forward well in the 1st half. Looked quite dangerous on occasion. (7)

Fyvie - Not his best. (5)

Vernon - Completely detached. No support until well into 2nd half. Excellent cross in. (5)

Subs

Magennis - Did alright. Made space well for his shot which was not a bad effort.

Pawlett - Not enough time to make an impact.

Mackie - Not enough time to even make a cunt of himself.

Foster did want the ball a lot but for me his end product was shite!

na disagree there. thought he was unlucky not to score and hanlon should have been sent off for chopping him in the 1st half. today foster actually looked like he could pass a ball 5 yards, something i've never seen from him. his delivery could have been better at times but the ball was always on his left peg and he only ever had vernon to aim for.

Gonzalez - worst game in an aberdeen shirt, kicking and distribution was horrific, couple of flaps, couple of decent saves.

McArdle - clueless, utterly out of his depth, distribution was horrific.

Mawene - quiet game, read the game well.

Arnason - another good shift at centre back, feel like we're wasting him there though, would be a weapon in centre mid.

Considine - okay game, nothing too much wrong, slow as fuck though

Clark - showing signs of enthusiasm but he's absolutely puffing after 10 mins, nowhere near match fitness and shouldn't be starting games

Osbourne - quiet game, looked solid when called upon, would say we have the better of the osbournes

Milsom - dwelling on the ball too much and caught just turning into the hibs players, involved in our best chances though with some neat passing down the left, pissed off when he pussied out of a challenge with stack

Foster - would give him motm, if we were to score it would have been through him

Fyvie - useless, wouldn't look out of place in the third division, utter shite

Vernon - same as fyvie, one season wonder, lacks any sort of footballing ability. also chickened out of a one on one opportunity with stack

Subs

Magennis - start him over vernon, can go past a player and actually has a bit of pace about him

Pawlett - looked good, replace for clark against killie

Mackie - waste of a sub, chalali would have caused a few problems

only other point is our team is quiet as fuck, no shouts for man on, fuck all!
