Jaws
We're stuck with Levein, there's nothing we can do about that but why the hell does the likes of Grant Hanley keep his place when he doesn't even play games. Surely you have to be playing games to merit a call up. And James McArthur is gash. Link to comment
Coopy100
No Naisy. Wonder why eh. I haven't heard anything about it in every news programme or paper. Link to comment

He falls into that category and is much the same ability-wise. Link to comment
Miglo don
I like Levein, I would call up guys who are on the fringe of Premiership teams ahead of regulars, what would folk prefer Hanley or Kenneth? Jamie Mackie getting called up is a gesture I reckon to let him know he is still in the frame. think McCormack is unfortunate though! Link to comment
ebbe
craig levein is a gormless, arrogant, specky, negative prick. Link to comment

An abortion of a defender. I don't know why he never calls up Andy Webster. It's a player Levein knows well, having signed him twice. Link to comment

I agree with Webster ability wise, but as for the future he is injured to often to have in your squad, better off with someone who is young and fit being involved like Hanley or Wilson, at least when they are first team regulars they will be used to being involved with the national set up. Was very good at Hamilton too! Having said that, I'd probably have gone for Craig Bryson at Derby instead. By all accounts he's really kicked on this season and has been absolutely outstanding. Crazy that McCormack is still being overlooked - particularly since the Steven Fletcher saga continues to drag on. Levein needs to be the bigger man, swallow his pride and bury the hatched with Fletcher. We desperately need him! Also interesting that Lee Wallace has usurped Crainey. Why the sudden change of heart? To conclude, I reckon Levein is well out of his depth at this level. Link to comment

Dynamo
Anyway, with all these Englisg players, despite what anyone thinks about whether they should or shouldn't be playing, we've got them so play them. Start Jordan Rhodes. He's scoring for fun at Huddersfield. Link to comment

Such a pity he wasn't involved in the likes of the Czech game at home as we were missing something that day. He could have made the difference. Bryson's an interesting one. Thought he had a great season last year but i can't say i've seen Derby this season so can't comment on that. It seems Levein has his favourite's in there though, who'll never be shifted. If any team "desperately needs" Stephen Fletcher then their is something far wrong! He's been terrific for the past couple of years. Wolves supporters absolutely love him... I was reading some comments earlier in the season and many reckon he's developed into their best striker since Steve Bull. He scored some critical goals for them last season which kept them in the EPL. Scotland struggle for goals, the best we've got is Kenny Miller FFS!!! In case you hadn't noticed, it's years since Scotland qualified the finals of any tournament... so yes, something is far wrong and we desperately Steven Fletcher. Goals win games and he could be the difference in this next qualification campaign. Link to comment

I haven't seen them either, but I still follow the Championship intently... hoping Forest will finally drag themselves out of that league. One thing that's notable this season is the turn around from Derby and from all accounts Bryson has been central to their renaissance. Link to comment

Jute
Oh I, and Fletcher will fire us to glory! If you believe that then more the fool you! Fletcher is a far better striker that Kenny Misser, Craig Mackel Smith and Jamie Mackie. Levien needs to do whatever is required to get Fletcher back in the fold. Fact that he hasn't is just another thing in long line of mistakes that will lead to him getting punted. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Link to comment
Sonoftherock
Oh I, and Fletcher will fire us to glory! If you believe that then more the fool you! He's our best striker by a country mile and as a country who've struggled for goals for years, then yes - I believe he could be the difference. At present, we have nothing up front and that is a major problem. Link to comment
minijc
Without getting in to my usual English/Scottish arguement, based purely on form and goal scoring aswell as time played, the fact Mackie got in ahead of Ross McCormack is disgusting, what has Ross got todo to get a game? Link to comment

He should be in. No question. Also strange, something I've only just noticed, is that James Forrest has gone missing.... he was making the squad regularly when he wasn't getting a game for Celtic. However, now he's in the team, playing well and scoring goals, he drops out! I really despair at Craig Levein being in charge of our national team. Link to comment
