Reliablesource
? probably the best technical player I've seen in a Dons shirt since Jess. Cant think of anyone aa skilled as him. You could see straight away the boy was a class above anything else in the SPL.Holy christ! Link to comment
True_Don
Holy christ!I repsones to the boys post 're Maddison. Who so you think I'm bloody talking about?? Link to comment

True_Don
It looked like it was Flood you were talking about ( before you edited your post ) Well that would be mental! Link to comment

strachanmcgheegoal
I agree in terms of technique. But in terms of basic effectiveness, I.e using what youve got to put the little round white thing in between the two white sticky things theres been one or two better (assuming were talking Scotland wide, not just reds). Scott Macdonald on his day was a good example. Fairly limited player if truth is told but knows whats needed to win not just look pretty. Link to comment
HairyPie
He ran into trouble and lost the ball when there was an easy pass on more often than not. 1 Link to comment

True_Don
Don't understand why folk can't see the class the boy has when he was up here. The fact he has gone for 22m and playing for eng u21 should be proof enough. Hayes, Christie, McLean won't be playing E prem league football in their careers (maybe McLean has a small chance). 1 Link to comment
dazzy_deff
To me Maddison was so far ahead technically. Not to say he was our most influential player at that time, because he wasnt. He was still raw and had a lot of developing to do. Made a lot of poor decisions. Lets not forget he went back to Norwich and didnt get a sniff for 6 months. But as far as raw talent goes, he was head and shoulders above everyone else and oozed class on the ball. You could tell that if he kept his head right and stuck in hed go far. 2 Link to comment

dazzy_deff
Well, those with a clue could The majority on here however... Most were claiming Christie was better LolMaddison was a better technical player. However Christie had more impact for us the second half of the season than Maddison did the first. 4 Link to comment
BWG
Sky is the limit for Maddison. He's got the ability, all down to his application. Would not be surprised to see him playing in a champions league final in a few seasons time. 1 1 Link to comment
G31DON
Maddison had one of the best individual performances I've seen in a long, long time in the 4 - 0 win away to Killie. He was magic that day. Link to comment
alscotoz
Not hard to spot Maddison was destined for bigger things. Link to comment
StandFree1982
That's right Zoomers saying he wasnt as good as Christie LOL Maddison is clearly a far better player than Christie, technically at least. However: Goals that season:Christie 7 goals in 15 appearancesMaddisons 2 goals in 17. Assists:Christie - 3 in 15Maddison - 3 in 17 Link to comment
KenDodd'sDad
Does beg the question why McInnes left him on the bench loads towards the end of that loan spell. Link to comment
redone
Does beg the question why McInnes left him on the bench loads towards the end of that loan spell.Because , as someone said earlier he was a ball greedy cunt who wasn’t playing for the good of the team. Showed signs of playing like he didn’t really care about the results as he knew he’d only be here for a short time. I can mind McLean going mental at him up in Dingwall shortly after Maddison had yet again chosen to hold on to the ball or play a difficult pass when an easier option was on. McLean was literally having to be held back or I reckon he’d have chinned Maddison. Don’t think he featured much after that. And he’s shat it now by getting the fuck outta Norwich to avoid McLean Link to comment
dazzy_deff
Callum Morris signed for Ross County. Link to comment

BWG
Didn't like the wee cunt would be my guess.Because McInnes is a fraud and didn't really know what he had with Maddison. Couldn't utilise him properly and stuck him out on the wing. Link to comment
