dj_bollocks
17-11, I'm sticking with it. I think even that's being optimistic.... I don't see them getting double figures... Link to comment
boboisared
I presume you're talking about his comments about the 7th green there, where they took an inordinate amount of time? Of course they're taking far too long. That's obvious to anyone. However, he did say during the length of time that they were taking, these exact words - "I'm currently major-less". This doesn't need my, or anyone else's explanation as to why these words add to the vast database of reasons why the man is a complete fud.No, his comments in general during his commentary. Doesn't sugar coat it. Link to comment
swifty
It's going to be a procession tomorrow for the Yanks. Very disappointing indeed. Watching Rory and Poulter capering on the green prior to them both hitting woeful putts indicates a lack of focus. Some of the American play has been wonderful but there seems to be a lack of belief in team yoorup. Link to comment
boboisared
Yeah I'll give you that. He doesn't mince aboot. Just dinna like the cunt masel.I don't pay much attention to golf, only really the majors and Ryder Cup so I just view Monty as a poor soul eho never won a major but maybe should have. I try to get myself interested but I think it may be due to having no natural ability for the sport I can't enjoy it, as strange as that sounds. Link to comment
swifty
Everything now rests on the shoulders of Paul/Colsarets and McIlroy/Poulter. If they are unable to turn around their matches it's tatties o'er the side and Sunday night will be spent ironing my shirts for work. Link to comment
bonzodaddy73
Did anyone notice this afternoon in the foresomes. Garcia chipped in from just of the green on the 16th I think. The sky camera did one of their super close ups while he was addressing the ball. The ball moved when he had the club behind it, just fractionaly but it moved. Isn't that classed as a stroke? boboisared
This crowd pisses me off. Doesn't matter if the shot is great, good or shit they are cheering like they've just won the thing. Americans are knobs. Link to comment
bonzodaddy73
I saw that but no, it's not a penalty. The ball moved but not as a result of contact, merely the depressing of the grass with the address. It moved back again. What a fucking shite effort by Lawrie at 11. I've got money on you, you cretan. If you ground your putter and the wind moves your ball isn't that deemed a penalty? I fail to see the difference here. Link to comment
bonzodaddy73
It wasn't a penalty. Read the rules. My interpretation of rule 18 is it's a penalty stroke. Link to comment
sooth_stander
This is like the Ryder Cup used to be pre 1983, ie - us getting majorly humped. After a fantastic summer of sport, what a huge ant-climax. Faldo got savaged by the press in 2008, mostly cos of history between them. Wander if Olazabal will escape unscathed? Link to comment
sooth_stander
What a tee shot from Woods on 13. The one game we were looking good looks like slipping away too. Can't recall phit the score was at Oakland Hills in 04 and Dublin 2 years later, something like 18-10. This is looking like even more emphatic. #Noheartorbottle Link to comment

sooth_stander
One thing's for sure... Seve wouldn't be happy... This is what makes it all the more disappointing - the history between our captain and his fellow countryman. I guess you either have it or you haven't. Plenty more before him have failed on both sides- Nicklaus, Sutton, Pavin, Wadkins, Lehman, Trevino, Faldo, Strange, Kite. Now Olazabal. Fuck sakes, even Mark James almost managed it! Link to comment
dj_bollocks
1 in it in the remaining 3 games... 3 points would be nice... Link to comment

fifered
Poults has certainly made a mockery of the decision to drop him and play Westwood yesterday. Onwards to Sunday though, get Poulter out first to get some momentum going and who knows. Link to comment
fifered
What about Rose? Picking Rose and leaving out Poulter was absurd. "Poults" is what Butch (this is America baby) and Engerlish people with their lickle pet nicknames do. I would never call him Poults. That's Agree with Rose, although there wasn't many you would definitely have kept, that was the most absurd thing about leaving Poults  out. He is clearly the heartbeat of the team.
