looksgoodinred
Unlike the woman I saw vomiting into a cup on the street post-match, I'm now in a mood to celebrate the Dons win of earlier today. (And have no intention of mimicking her performance at any point tonight.) Any suggestions on where to go? Link to comment
tup
I'm the expert at telling folk where to go. But seeing as you're a lady I'll abstain. Good to hear you were in attendance though it's a hoora journey for you. Link to comment
The Boofon
It's a bugger of a journey for me as well. Link to comment

looksgoodinred
You should have given me warning. If I said I can't meet you because I'm more interested in watching golf on telly, you'd think me So the reason I'm not saying get your butt down to the car park in Gleneagles is that I've just got thrush and I'm being treated for genital warts the noo. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
daytripping
An epic journey to watch a dons match! Good on you LGIR and thanks for bringing some luck with you. Not sure where to suggest for a single lady out on her own, maybe Archibald Simpsons to kick off with, it's at the junction of Union Street/Kings street. Link to comment
tup
Is the Metro still open? Guaranteed a trap in there LGIR. Link to comment

looksgoodinred
Don't want to set a trap, thanks Tup. Skipped into Ma's for a couple. Onward ho (so to speak). Link to comment

ChutneyLove
Or if you have any deranged perversions that need "letting" I'm yer man. I am a fully paid member of the Cheesepipes dungeon club and can sign in 2 visitors a year. Edit to add I only have one place left this year, so get your skates zipper-mask on. Link to comment
looksgoodinred
LGIR, how come you were over from Canada, who were you staying with, how long here for and did you have/are you having a good time? I came to see the match. I stayed at a hotel. I was there 4 days (did you not notice the good weather I brought with me?) and I did have a good time! :-) walked about for hours on end to see favourite places, and explored some new ones. Saw the Dons win at home. And had haggis. Link to comment
looksgoodinred
On your own? You should have said. I would have lent you my body. Thank you but I've not forgotten you said your body was riddled with something. Link to comment
looksgoodinred
A trip to the clinic for rectification work thereafter makes it all the more memorable. Not like it can kill you. I think the match is memorable enough but perhaps next time. If there's no golf tourney on, that is Link to comment
tup
I wouldna chance it with a man who prefers golf to fitba LGIR, all things considered. Link to comment

tommo1903
To be fair, its much easier to get from Canada to Aberdeen than it is from Portsoy to Aberdeen. Link to comment
tup
To be fair, its much easier to get from Canada to Aberdeen than it is from Portsoy to Aberdeen. Portsoy to Inverness is much worse. Have you seen the state of the road between Fochabers and Inverness? I've not, despite attending many Dons games in recent times. I tend to take a 362 mile detour to avoid it. Link to comment

Is the bypass in Fochabers finished? last time I was up that way that was the only bad bit of road, If it's done I could drive Aberdeen to Inverness in an hour. Link to comment

Portsoy to Inverness is much worse. Have you seen the state of the road between Fochabers and Inverness? I've not, despite attending many Dons games in recent times. I tend to take a 362 mile detour to avoid it. Correct. Is the bypass in Fochabers finished? last time I was up that way that was the only bad bit of road, If it's done I could drive Aberdeen to Inverness in an hour. Impossible. Fochabers isn't the problem. It's the road from Fochabers to Inverness that's the issue at hand. Aye, ages ago. Not quite ages ago. A few months at best. Made a reasonable difference to the Fochabers to Elgin route. Elgin to Inverness remains passable with extreme caution. Link to comment
daytripping
I've discussed this with a mate before, If the road from Aberdeen to Inverness was cleared of all traffic a la rally style I reckon it could be done in an hour, you'd need to average just over 100mph but it's doable. Porsche 911 would be my weapon of choice, corners like it's on rails. Link to comment
