Dynamo
watching that was horrendous. Just smacks home that i will NEVER get to experience anything close to that in my lifetime. Not in Europe but we'll win cups. It'll click one year soon. Link to comment

We will win cups, yes im almost certain of that, but i dont think there will ever be a period again where we as a team and as a support would fear no one, and would be so confident and so used to success. Guest
The program just brings home what man management is all about and how we've lacked in since Fergie left. I see bits of Fergie in McInnes and hope he can bring back some backbone to AFC. A trip to the Farrs Hatt and then on to the Ullevi is a defo for the future me thinks Link to comment

Could only imagine how amazing that whole season would have been. fuck it, that whole era. The scenes of Union street for the bus parade is frightening. Amazing programme. Better than porn. Just think, in a couple of years we'll get a documentary about the League Cup winning team for us young dandies to enjoy! Link to comment
Karl Fletcher
That was wonderful, by holy fuck. Buzzing for Saturday Link to comment
Bobby Connor
Just think, in a couple of years we'll get a documentary about the League Cup winning team for us young dandies to enjoy! Christ, at the time I barely even recognised that as a proper trophy. The fact that it was only just Dundee we had to beat made it a bit 'MEH'. Link to comment
Tommy
Crackin clip of John McRuvie and Patrick Wight on the programme.Bring on Saturday. Canna wait. Link to comment
ericblack4boss
i thought it was an excellent documentary with some action on thier not often seen, i was too young to recall Dougie Bell in his pomp, but the clips of that Watershie game showed the man was a fantastic footballer, as with so many players in the 80s was unlucky to be around at the time of other great Scottish players. Liam
does the semi final not get played down heaps? Ive no idea if Waterschei were good or not, but they cant of been that bad to get to the semis?Obviously the Bayern game gets huge coverage, but surely winning 5-1 in a semi final is pretty special too? strachanmcgheegoal
Apart from being close to tears and the YYYYAAAASSSSSSSS a la Ian St John when Hewitt scored the only down side for me was watching Leighton making three or four saves in training that fecking spongebob could only dream of.I loved Fergie's quip to Strachan. You're the best midfielder in the country....its just in the cities yer pish! Class acts all round. 10/10 for the production too. Link to comment
dj_bollocks
I hope someone has capped it and it ends up available on t'internets at some point. A wonderful hour where I was beaming from ear to ear. Such a shame to see the club we've become... Link to comment

Waterschei were shite to be fair and the team we were desperate to get. They went tits up and were dissolved about 5 years after the semi.Beating Bayern was THE achievement. They were an outstanding team from the best league in Europe at the time.Watching that program was fantastic.Inspirational, emotional, funny in parts.....you couldn't make up the fact the team stayed at the Fars Haat hotel!! Simmie loved that Link to comment
King Street Loon
Fantastic documentary. I've just watched it on SKY Player and had a smile all the way through and goosebumps. You can see the fondness in Fergie's and Knox's eye's when they recall these memories.I wish i were old enough to remember it. Link to comment

strachanmcgheegoal
MT He surely did, was it Souness era, or just before? Bigger issue to be honest was being injured for the final which was a shame - did as much as anyone to get us there. Link to comment
Biscuit
Absolutely brilliant to see that programme, loved the scenes on Union St. Some of the banners at the game that I've seen footage of we're class, one read 'Doug Rouvie never let's a day go by' Just makes me sad to think how we have been so poorly run in the years that followed. I believe that the wording of that banner was ever so slightly less politically correct and was a pun on the fact we were playing a Spanish team... there's a cracking photo of a lot of the banners in the 'Here We Go' book about Gothenburg. Absolutely fantastic documentary last night, enjoyed every minute of it. Link to comment
