Beer Festival In Rds

Yes. The doors to the pitch are locked.... they should open them up since we are getting a new pitch anyway. Just let the pished folk rip it up for them.

Cheers!

The pitch has been ripped up and re-laid with some fancy stuff, it'll be left to settle then

they'll seed it.

There's always some dangerous hideous looking cider there. A dark shade of yellow with brown clouds. About 15% or something.... always becomes a good idea when you're pished.

I had similar ciders on Ashton Lane recently.

Not that strength but it looked mingin but tasted nae bad.

Not that it matters too much but what are the prices like? Any recommendations so far from anyone who has been?

You pay a fiver to get in and you get a raffle type strip. you just go up to each beer stall, hand over your ticket and you get a half pint i think.

finish drink and repeat process.

If I remember right you get about 5 or 10 tickets but cant really remember. you can go back and buy more beer tokens at any point

A quid per half pint? Seems a bit cheap for an event like this. Good value if it is though, especially if the beers are that strong.

I've been going to this for around/over 20 years.

I'll echo the sentiment about buying half pints.

Firstly, you,ll be able to sample more beers.

Secondly, if you get an absolutely horrible een, it's easier to drink in a oner to get oot if the wie.

Thirdly, you will get better vaslue for money. ie you buy a pint, you will get a pint...but if you buy a half oint, you will get minimum half pint, sometimes aboit 3/4 pint.

Buy your pint glass at the door which will have the year and icon for that festival engraved on it.

Get your beer vouchers bought at the same time.

Then exchange said vouchers for ale via a fat beardy hoor standing in front of a shiteload of barrels.

Job done.

If you are going up the toen afterwards, simply plant your pint glass in a hedge somewhere, then pick it up next day.

If you can mind fit hedge it is in.

Tragically, out of the country so winna manage.

Someone kerp a glass for me so I can add ut to my collection... :D

Yas min!

Unfortunately this means I will have to bump into you at some point in the near future to inherit the glass.

Has beer written all over it (the rendezvous, not the glass)

Have a duplicate or 2 I can give you in return. Definitely have spares with cool sheep on front.

Cheers.:)
