LeDandy
We should fear nae cunt , a tough away draw that we overcome easily would do the confidence the world of good and maybe exorcise a few ghosts leading to a cup double . . Link to comment
madjockmcferson
I hope we get shit teams all the way through. I'd be happy to win any cup and honestly dont care how we do it. Link to comment
rossafc92
Tomorrow at 2.30pm, I hear. Partick are playing Ayr tonight and assuming they win, will be seeded. If Ayr win, Hamilton will be seeded instead. Seeded: Ross County, Dundee Utd, Aberdeen, Killie, Hearts, St Mirren, Dundee, Morton, Falkirk, Livingston, Partick/Hamilton Unseeded: Airdrie, Montrose, Cowdenbeath, Dumbarton, Dunfermline, Forfar, Alloa, Raith, Stranraer, Queen of the South, Hamilton/Ayr Montrose at home for me, straight forward as possible! For selfish reasons, Dunfermline, Alloa, Raith or Hamilton (should they beat Ayr) will do for me. Link to comment
Tord31
Unseeded: Airdrie, Montrose, Cowdenbeath, Dumbarton, Dunfermline, Forfar, Alloa, Raith, Stranraer, Queen of the South, Hamilton possible opponents. Dumbarton at home sounds as good as anything Link to comment
bruceg1978
Can someone explain to me why Partick hadto play a 1st round and Dundee got a bye into 2nd round. Link to comment
Henry
Think it's to do with where you finished the previous season Bruce. Dundee finished 12th in the SPL while Partick finished a place below them in the league structure. Link to comment

That's also why last season the rangers had to play in round 1 as they are a new club and didn't have a previous season finishing position. More ammo against the zombie hun friends you might have. stirlingsheep
None of the away ties are too bad for myself in terms of getting to the game - although Stranraer and Queen of the South are a pain in the arse to get to. Preferably if its away - Dumbarton. Ground is a 10 minute walk from work and could have a few pints before the game with a workmate who's a season ticket holder there. Link to comment

K-9
Probably the toughest tie could have got out of non seeds but should be easy enough. Wonder if McManus will be allowed to play? Link to comment

Wonder if McManus will be allowed to play?Think he is allowed to play. Would Hartley being an ex don play him though? Alloa is a pretty good team. Link to comment
K-9
See both sides - Alloa have taken player on loan and want to play the player every game they want to. On the other hand he is player employed by Aberdeen (who will still be paying most of his wages) and they don't want their own player playing against and knocking club out of the cup. Also not fair on lad if he does have to come back and he has scored winner against us or accidently crippled one of our players. Of course we should still be in competition when he returns to club (hopefully a much improved player) and we might need to call on him for the semi and final. But pretty sure Aberdeen wont have done a Celtic and we will have put in clause letting him play against us. Link to comment
Huntlysheep
Looking forward to this now to see if we are over our lower league hoodoo at Pittodrie. 2 Link to comment
oilcat
I doubt if Dec will be allowed to play, Cwis Maguire and (P)ricky Foster had to sit out matches against us when they were on loan.............having said that he played on Saturday so he is cup-tied anyway. Alloa have ex Dons Darren Young and Scott Bain in their ranks as well Link to comment
K-9
Looking forward to this now to see if we are over our lower league hoodoo at Pittodrie. With right attitude from the off there should never be any problems against lower league sides. Last 10 years we went out half paced, half hearted and with shit attitude. Hopefully the new attitude that seems to be eminating from our new regime will show through and there will be no problems.
