Aberdeen V St.johnstone (0 - 0)

I think he looks clumsy on the ball and despite his size he's never in about defenders winning headers at set pieces.

he's used his body well a couple of times to get a shot in but few and far between.

Wouldn't 100% write him off after 5 games though.

Aberdeen is a very foreign place to him. He's probably been overwhelmed by the granite architecture. Needs time to adjust.

Dont think i've seen him have a proper shot yet.

Immediate thoughts were his heading is possibly the worst i have ever seen, but i reckon hes got a pretty good touch! Jury's still out for me, but another performance like the one vs alloa and i would be surprised if we saw much of him.

Was quite optimistic about the season till the last few games, hopefully we can get a win on saturday to kick start things.

Serious concerns about the midfield, honestly think he will put vernon in midfield on saturday!

Nae really. They all find it tough at the start of pre season. He's not had a pre season.

As for Stoney's no shots at goal comment. FFS he almost snapped the Motherwell goal post and bar with his strike.

 Slightly glamorised.

Pawlett's shot against Motherwell's woodwork was harder but TBF to Zola. It was a very impressive (& in slow motion) turn & shot with a looping shot off the woodwork. It's the one strength I've seen in him. His ability to turn his man when he's got his back to him but the problem is that most of the time his first touch ruins his chances of using this strength.

Only seen him at Well, tims & Hearts game & I'm far from impressed by this guy & I don't believe (any more) that it's just down to a lack of fitness. Hope it is but he always looks lazy & slow (even at the start of games).

Anyway I see Tommy Wright's still after a Premiership Loanee (an U21) but is worried that he'll not get him.

Hope we're in the hunt for some also

Maybe now is the time for McInnes to seek out Craig Brown for some advice about what to do with McGinn. Maybe he can also offer some tips on how to get the best out of Zola as well. If he's still around, of course. Maybe he just turns up for board meetings now.

I'd recommend him for changing light bulbs & hanging up the goal nets & putting the cups of water on top of the dressing room doors for the banter.

I'm going to this, but I've gone from buzzing for the next match to dreading it!

on the Zola debate, I actually thought that finally people were realising he's totally shite, I said after his first game and he's continued to prove it, I don't know how it takes some people so long to spot this!

It's getting like a chore watching the Dons already, just don't look like scoring our best CMs are oot, the goalies are awful we've swapped one useless big cunt for another in Fallon for Zola. It's like Brooners Dons again except he played mcginn a striker, was so optimistic at the beginning as we looked good, the bubbles burst well & truly, will get back on track on sat I hope.

I think folk are just looking to give Zola a chance. He may just be taking some time to adjust to our game, while I know his preseason was very interrupted.

However, I do agree, that only someone as deluded as MT could argue that he hasn't looked spectacularly rubbish so far.

I hate to say it, but it's looking like Calvin Zola will go down in AFC folklore in the same breath as Por Kristjansson and Tommy Wright.

0-0 all over it the way we're playing. Flat midfield 4 of Wylde - Low - Jack - Pawlett is essential. Keeps everyone in their best positions!

McGinn MillerTime

Wylde Low Jack Pawlett

Stoney Reynolds Hector Murray

FnD

3-0 us if we play that team. Hat-trick for "The Big Moroccan"
