perthshirered
Play like we did tonight then id be pretty confident of a win. On the downside, Gary McDonald is injured for Saints so he wont be featuring unfortunately. Saints arent a bad side but they arent particularly streetwise and are completely devoid of any great pace, an early goal would kill them. They surely wont be as naive this time though, they were under the impression that they dominated the last time for long spells when in actual fact they played right into Aberdeens hand, passing it about at the back for a wee bit before launching the next inevitable long ball forward up to their midget strikers. RUL
Have they got a keeper this time? Thought Banks was a major weak link last time. Link to comment
perthshirered
The guy Mannus will be back in goal but then he was the one who made an arse of himself in the last league game but he has played a few blinders against Aberdeen previously. Link to comment
the_shrimp
Another routine win. No sweat. Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Same team as tonight. Hopefully same result. The lack of buzz for this game makes me nervous.... If we do win I'm looking forward to all the fans who didn't attend greeting that they can't get a ticket for the final even though they deserve one so much Link to comment
RowieMan
Going to enjoy this one. Much less pressure on us now having won the league cup, but I have no doubt the team will be right up for this one. Don;t think St Johnstone have scored against us yet this season so I am confident we can get past them. Good to see McGinn coming back to form and his confidence will by high again. between him, rooney and Pawlett we will have plenty chances. 2-0 mcginn and rooney. dons v dundee united in the final. on a side note, how dundee united are 13/10 to beat rangers is beyond me. united 2 divisions above, should be odds on against a team that couldnt even score against Raith over 2 hours of play! G31DON
I think Mannus is a liability for St J.I really want to see some bossing of the middle of the park by Flood & Jack, they should be dictating the play from the middle and feeding the front 4 much more decisively Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
They will try & play hoof ball up to May. they cannot compete otherwise cos our mid will rip them a new one Link to comment
Stoneybloke
They will try & play hoof ball up to May. they cannot compete otherwise cos our mid will rip them a new oneWe sometimes resort to the same thing, and it plainly doesn't work. We seem to be learning though, at long last. Link to comment
The Cockney Don
IN Same line-up 1 - 1(Rooney then some cunt for them) then Dons win 2 - 1 aet with Rooney scoring again Att : 22,078 Get sloshed on the long journey home that evening . Link to comment
Sandafc
Cant see Hayes being involved at all, don't think hes done any contact work yet? He said last week he thought he was still 2 - 3 weeks away. Would be great though if he was able to be on the bench and a major boost. Link to comment
StandFree1982
I'd rather we didn't risk him. We should have enough in our team to pump St johnstone while keeping Hayes for the final. Link to comment
oilcat
No way would I risk Hayes, if he plays he (and his arm) will be targetted by that big useless lump McKay. Last thing we want is him missing the rest of the season Link to comment
StandFree1982
McGinn is back on fire and Pawlett is getting back up to speed so we should be fine. Against Hibs we could have had 5 or 6 goals, so I don't think we've much to worry about going forwards. Link to comment
mavv1903
Looking forward to this one, i think same team as last night with Hayes on the bench... Going for a 2-1 win with flood and McGinn scoring, crowd of about 23k... Link to comment

Going for a 2-1 win with flood and McGinn scoring, crowd of about 23k... Not sure, 5 players on the bench right? One is a keeper. 4 players - a pretty much injured Hayes is a wasted space IMHO. 1 Link to comment
barassie_afc
Am worried about this one, mainly because I will be there. If we play like we did last night we should be ok, I fancy Mcginn to have a belter Link to comment

the_shrimp
I heard a certain R.E teacher is refereeing this match. I predict some suspect decisions and Looking forward to Yellow cards galore thus resulting in players missing a potential final. Link to comment

Guest
Just wondering, in the unlikely event Hayes does make it (which I very much doubt)... who would we drop in his place? Robson - nope. Midfield commanderPawlett - nope. Gives us that sparkle and link up play with RooneyMcGinn - nope. Back on scoring form and has been doing his 'team' duties wellFlood - nope. Midfield grafter who breaks up play and takes ball from defence.Jack - perhaps. Although you could say that McInnes likes the two of them together to boss/dictate play in that area. Trying to recall what we were doing when Hayes was fit. Jack was injured was he not? Bit of a healthy problem for McInnes to contend with if and when that situation arises. Link to comment
Tord31
Hayes played some games at left back last time we had all six fit. It has not happened many matches this season though. Link to comment
Guest
Hayes played some games at left back last time we had all six fit. It has not happened many matches this season though. That was just as cover when Considine was still out and Clark got injured. And he hit a rich vein of form towards middle of the season which more than justified his starting place. Personally, I'd drop Jack, but that's just me. I like to see an attacking formation with pace in it. Link to comment
