zander
Happy for Saints gutted we never got through against them reckon we would have hammered tsmstid in the final. We love Armageddon. Link to comment

Ke1t
Hilarious to see United finish fourth, fail to make Europe, and no silverware. And people were telling us how great they were. Apparently not all that great. 4 Link to comment

West Coast Red
Baby Messi was anonomypis when he came on. We would have beaten that lot today but alas not to be. St Johnstone just about deserved to beat us on their second half performance so no complaints from me. Fair play to Saints winning their first ever major trophy. Link to comment
The Lighthouse
Well done to the Saints - they totally deserved their victory in a very good Final. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Macnamara in vastly over rated, Aluko in lazy little cunt shocker! Well who'd have thought it. Link to comment
West Coast Red
should've been us.We didn't play well enough in the second half against Saints to deserve a place in the final. Yeah we missed a few great opportunities but on the day Saints deserved it on the strength of their second half performance. They seemed to want it that little bit more. Link to comment
caledonia
Glad the manager of the year was already decided especially with saints winning a better cup than us and they have qualified for Europe (not sure if they come in the same round as us or not)they never finished third though Link to comment
Guest
Wright deserves MotY imo Why? They merely consolidated on last year's good season. McInnes on the other hand, took a virtually deceased club, on it's hands and knees, and transformed our fortunes. We should have finished 2nd, but that said, we were by far the better side matched up against St Jonhstone over the season. Link to comment

All that said though I'm may be biased but will admit that I am glad that McInnes got it. I think most neutrals would give Wright it now also. 3 Link to comment

Don't fall into this guffy trap that the league cup is a Mickey Mouse cup every team plays their strongest team in it up here. Scottish cup is maybe more famous but bar the non league teams its exactly the same. McInnes still deserves MOTY. 2 Link to comment

McInnes still deserves MOTY.Nonsense.The Scottish cup trumps the League cup by a looooooooong way for numerous reasons.Financially, Europa qualification, nostalgia/history & glamor. You may not like it but the League cup is most certainly a diddy cup compared to the Scottish cup.The Scottish cup is the oldest club football trophy still in existence & quality of sponsorship alone proves it's far more important than the League cup.To even say it isn't in jest is embarrassing 1 Link to comment
zander
Still the same clubs in both cups playing there strongest 11s. St Johnstones achievements this season aren't greater than ours just because they won the bigger cup. Diddy cup is the ramsdens cup in a footballing sense the Scottish cup and League cup are the same. Link to comment

But a cup's a cup and after 19 years any fucking cup will do. I doubt winning the Scottish cup would have felt any better. Link to comment

So the fact highland, lowland & junior league teams are kicking about (mostly before we enter th 4th round) makes the Scottish cup more challenging? Aye ok If anything the seeding and 2nd round bypasses make the league cup harder Link to comment
