Tord31
Friday presser: DM - all focus is on securing european football through the league and getting ready for the semi final and no time for contract talks until these games are out of the way Link to comment

Shinniesta
Definitely a fair sized rebuilding job again for DM this summer. GMS, Shinnie and McKenna will all be away. Can't imagine Gleeson will be here next season and Wilson definitely won't be. But the youngsters breaking through is a major plus. Hopefully Wright comes back from Dundee a better and physically stronger player. Anderson will return from Dunfermline and hopefully Frank Ross gets over the injury he has. Hopefully sign Ball on a permanent contract and try and get Lowe back again next season if possible. With Shinnie, GMS, Wilson, Gleeson and McKenna very likely not here next season and with some of whatever (hopefully large) fee we get for McKenna to reinvest McInnes should have a sizeable chunk of money available to replace the outgoing players he just needs to find players of the right quality. Chewie37
I don’t think Gleeson will leave, think DM will see him as a player for next season if he can slim down a bit more Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Hopefully the progress of the youngsters this year will allow us to focus on quality rather than quantity this summer. Getting some continuity is key. The team with Hayes, Rooney, McGinn, McLean, Jack etc stayed together for a few years and it definitely helps. Some key decisions to be made re Lewis contract situation and the plan for the next right back (as well as the continuing left back situation every summer). Also, McKenna might actually go this summer so defence will be a priority. We need another striker and probably 2 midfielders, ideally of the creative, attacking variety. So yeah a big job again but we've got a good base of youngsters to build around. Link to comment
Tord31
Big job yes but we are definitely better placed for first day of pre season than we were last summer and considering we have 10 players leaving so loads of scope for signings (I am going to assume Considine signs soon). Lewis Logan Devlin McKenna Considine Ferguson XXXX McLennan May McGinnCosgrove others: Rogers, Wright, Anderson, Campbell, Gleeson Link to comment
Tord31
Quite possibly he'll move on this summer but I doubt it'll be before pre season returns Link to comment

His shoulders just about fitting your expectations now? Link to comment

Tord31
If Consi playing a certain amount of games triggered an automatic extension then it possibly explains why they have not bothered to do anything until now 1 Link to comment

Ten Caat
Dom Ball on a permanent deal - next season is going to be even worse. You obviously have no idea of what a squad constitutes of. Link to comment
Tord31
Assuming Ball is offered no more than £2k/week or so then its seems like a no brainer to sign him Link to comment

aberdeen1970
Seems fair enough re Considine. Both he and Ball are decent squad players Link to comment

Tord31
Fuck knows but the point bein we better not be paying him anything like the figures quoted for McGinn, Lewis, Shinnie etc Link to comment
Shinniesta
Ball on a permanent deal makes a lot of sense. He's excelled at full back in recent games to the point where I'm not sure Logan would displace him were he fit. Played his best football for us in centre midfield and can fill in at centre back as well. McInnes does love his versatile players so I expect him to sign permanently. Link to comment
Chewie37
Ball is a decent player and folk forget how young he is too. Please remember some of the utter shite we’ve signed as squad fillers and actual first team players over recent years before you write him off Link to comment
Betty Swallicks
I'd imagine we'll try and punt May in the summer.Out on loan likely to get some of his wage paid (presume he's on decent dough since we paid a decent fee for him). Getting May off the wage bill plus Shinnie (likely), Gleeson (possibly) and Forrester (4 of our top earners) would leave a bit of scope for replacements. Link to comment
Tord31
Reynolds will be on a wedge too Link to comment
Betty Swallicks
Reynolds will be on a wedge too Oh aye, forgot about him. Can add GMS to the list too, Reynolds (likely)GMS (likely)Shinnie (likely)Gleeson (possibly)May (possibly)Forrester. Some of our biggest earners there and a fair wage packet combined to utilise.
