But that's not a knock on Shinnie by any meansPretty much what I think too, but we’ll be doing very well to find someone who can do what Shinnie did for us. Basic rule of thumb for me is whether another team are willing to pay as a transfer fee. So the fact that Norwich paid a sizeable fee for McLean with only six months left on his contract is a fair indication that , in general , he’s more highly rated than Shinnie. Link to comment

Some of his performances were embarrassingly appalling. He looked like a player miles out of his depth. I say that as someone who thinks there is a player in there somewhere too! 1 Link to comment
