Edit : crowd between 11,800 - 12,300 Good call, I think in midfield there's little between Flood, Robson and Low. But Robson or Low against County is definitely a good shout. We've such a depth of squad now that we might need to rotate players in some positions. Rooney deserves 30 minutes if not a start, and Monakana looks like he can compete too. We just need to string a few results together now as our next four games are all at home. Hopefully we'll see that now we have the creativity and versatility to win the games that we should. COYR! dj_bollocks
If we don't play 2 up front against Ross County playing at home, I despair. Time to change it up against a shite team with zero points. Let's see if Rooney and #Badcock can play together and see what the team can do in a 4-4-2 Link to comment

Yeah it didn't improve our play or creativity yesterday at Parkhead, we looked more likely to score before the switch.. Link to comment
TwoStars
Why? People keep advocating 4-4-2 as some awe inspiring attacking football but I just can't see it working.Maybe a 4-3-3 then. I certainly am no tactician genius but certainly feel Saturday is a game where we should be 'going for it' . Our current formation doesn't offer that. Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Whats the worst that can happen playing 4-4-2 at home to a Ross County team who have lost their opening 6 games of the season? McInnes will go for the same formation and tactics he's employed for almost every single game since we started last season however. 0-0 Link to comment

SkyeDon
Out. Hayes, I think will be back in for Low. I wouldn't be against Robson starting either. We need this to be the first of a good few wins on the bounce now. 2-0 Dons. 11,500. Link to comment

Our current formation doesn't offer that.I'm pretty sure we started with a 4-3-3. McGinn and Pawlett seemed to be part of a front 3 with Flood, Jack and Low in behind. Taylor Reynolds ConsiLogan Flood Jack HayesPawlettGoodwillie Rooney I can only really see that formation working as a two up front with our current squad. It allows Pawlett to play his role and covers the defence. The only problem is that there's no width. I don't think the front three would see any service unless Hayes and Logan spent a large portion of the game going forward. I think this formation would also leave us much more vulnerable to the counter attack as well. Link to comment

Pudgie
Not Langfield LoganAshReynoldsConsi PawlettLow JackHayes GoodwillieRooney I just can't see that working. Logan and Hayes would be our traditional "wingers" delivering balls into the box but I don't think Pawlett and Considine could carry it. They're both just too central. I guess it would just leave Goodie and Rooney isolated and frustrated. Low and Jack just don't have the skills to penetrate two lines of 4 sitting in at Pittodrie. That leaves us with going down the wing which I'm assuming would be easily stamped out. Link to comment
Tord31
I'd go with something along lines of Langfield (unfortunately) Logan Taylor Reynolds Hayes Flood Jack McGinn Pawlett Goodwillie Rooney subs: Brown, Considine, Low, Robson, Smith, Monakana, Wrightprediction: 2-0 Goodwillie and Hayes Link to comment

AFCaketin
We'd surely get destroyed in midfield if that was the line up How so? I'd be fairly confident of Jack and Flood doing more than enough to neutralise their midfield - we'll have all the ball so what is there to worry about? The game is not going to be played in middle of the park anyway, it is going to be played in and around their box. Diddy highland nobodies. 4-0 Aberdeen. Link to comment
rumpus
I want to go to this game, but fear of spending any money holds me back. If it's a Yes vote on Thursday the Oil will have run out by half time on Saturday, we'll all be begging at the Castlegate by full time. Link to comment

If we can't get past their first line of defence then we're not getting past their second. 3-0 us against the lesser know rabber bampers. Hayes, Rooney and Monakana Link to comment
