Byrne Baby Byrne
Cause I'm fairly bored. Brown Logan - Anderson (on a wheelchair) - Reynolds - Dave_min Robson Jack McGinn Pawlett Hayes Shankland 4-0 AberdeenShankland (1), (38), (55), (70) Link to comment
dj_bollocks
Wouldn't start Shankland - but if we're not winning after 65 - get him the fuck on and let's see what he can do, rather than persist with the usual suspects... Link to comment

strachanmcgheegoal
I suspect if flood, low and robson we're fit then we'd go back to a brutal 4-5-1 and set out for the 1-0. In their absence I'd drop GW (which is harsh, he's trying his erse for that first goal) and play shankland as outside right with Rooney through the middle. Might consider smith for pawlett too but not convinced. Begrudgingly McGinn retains his starting place. Hoping to make this one so shankland has better get some decent game time do I can come on here and moan that he's obviously shite! Link to comment
buchanskii
I'm just thankful that this is a Saturday 3pm Kick-off, when was the last time we had that? I'd like to see Murray at RB with logan at LB, and Shankland given at least half an hour. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
I know what you're saying and I'll try anything to pep it up. But this is the team directly above us, this is potentially to go 3rd and we're at home. Can we please leave the one bit of the defensive jigsaw that we are happy with in place till we sort out the rest of them. Only place Logan needs to be going is their by line on the overlap and the lack of an effective outside right ( not to mention a fucking lazy one that doesn't cover when he does go forward) isn't helping in that regard. the sheep
Maybe controversial but Shankland in for Rooney. Shankland and Goodwillie upfront for a few games. Goodwillies link up play is fantastic and his team mates should be taking advantage of this. His team mates need to be making better opportunities for Goodie. Rooney and McGinn guilty of not passing to Goodwillie when he has made the run or found the space. With the correct formation and partner we will score goals. McGinn also guilty of missing sitters and I don't mean the last minute chance against Dundee. His job is to make opportunities for the strikers. Goodwillie is by far the most intelligent and skilful striker we have had in a long time. Link to comment

Murray is a bit of a gamble but what I have seen of him pre injury he is no worse than Considine at defending as a right back and offers far more going forward. Considine is fine in the centre but a week link at right back. Link to comment

I would be a tad concerned with Murray coming up with the likes of Antoine-Curier Link to comment

I would be a tad concerned with Murray coming up with the likes of Antoine-Curier I'm certainly concerned by his physical appearance. From what I've read here, we should probably start with 11 Shanklands as he sounds like he's the messiah. Link to comment

ScottishJohn
I'd like to see Robson and Smith stay on the bench. Hopefully Shankland will get at least 25 minutes. Him and Goodwillie upfront could work. Link to comment

Tord31
time to start Shankland. Otherwise don't care but aye there is an arguement for Robson to start if fully fit. Certainly not Pawlett playing as anything other than attacking Link to comment
CalgaryDon
Feel we'll bounce back after the dundee result with a good result against Hamilton. Too many taking issue with DM after Saturday however the team played well and were applauded off the pitch. Luck was against us that day. I actually believe it was required to get this team to reach the rest of their goals I.e. winning the league cup and finishing second. I agree I'd like to see Shankland given more game time however I'm not sure about starting the lad just yet. Give him the last 30 mins depending on how DG and Rooney is playing. Also would be very tempted to start McGinn up front instead of DG and have Robson starting (if fit). Link to comment
