CalgaryDon
Disgusting from GoodieHefty fine coming his way me thinksGood result. Other results in the main went our way. Only 4 points behind Celtic currently - depending on their match on Monday. Pleased to see Monakana get some game time. Like the attitude from GD shows he wants to succeed. Link to comment

Ke1t
What's that saying... "Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser." I hope Goodwillie has battered someone. Link to comment
Site Sponsor Dom Sullivan Posted December 20, 2014 Site Sponsor Share Posted December 20, 2014 What did Goodie do? Was it a throwing of the shirt a la Willie Young (for those of you old enough to remember) or a bit of industrial language directed at McInnes? Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
6 clean sheets in the last 7 league gamesAye league games. Nae bad record though. Ten games played & eight clean sheets. Clangers would be getting touted for Scotland by some for that record. Obviously stats mean fk all really but the defence is certainly a lot more confident with Brown than Clangers & that is important. Still need a better keeper in for Brown to challenge though. Maybe some daft cunt will offer to take Clangers off our hands in jan so this can be the case. Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
Shot accuracy is still a major weakness in our play unfortunately. Even a pish Side like Killie can better us on shot accuracy percentage. They had 42% to our 31% accuracy. Obviously we had the one that counted but this is a big problem that needs rectifying ASAP. strachanmcgheegoal
I know what you mean FND but I think it's at least partly the case that if we had a centre forward who would up that percentage (bearing in mind the number of chances we're now creating) then he wouldn't be with us very long. Byrne Baby Byrne
Thought it was never going to come!!!! Kilmarnock can be happy with their performance, they caused us problems. Delighted to come away from that with 3 points. Best treatment for Jamie Hamill is to ignore him. The guy loves getting booed... makes him feel important. He's fucking shite and shouldn't even be acknowledged. Link to comment
RAZOR
in front of goal his finishing was poor. Away from goal his general play was tremendous.Normally it is. He's normally very sharp at pealing off his man and distributing a pass off but not today. He lost possession on countless occasions today, pushed off the ball far to easily and generally didn't look interested. His one saving grace was his pass to Pawlett where he went on to hit the post. Was rightly subbed. Link to comment

baconman
Disgusting from GoodieHefty fine coming his way me thinksIn some ways it shows he cares and maybe not getting amongst the goals is getting to him. I think he's not a bad player just hasn't had much luck. I didn't see today's game but he played well last week so more than capable at this level. Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Thought Goodwillie was ok. Nothing spectacular. Correct decision to bring him off in order to make a sub for me. Would only like to see him stay on if he's on a pish wage. He's nowhere near the player he was 4 years ago and it doesn't look like he ever will be again. Link to comment
the sheep
I was hoping that Deke would take off Rooney and not Goodwillie. Rooney did flock all of use where Goodwillie would have at least held on to the ball. Need to leave Goodwillie on when the other team are chasing the game as the guy needs a goal. To be fare to Deke it was maybe the yellow card and Goodwillies desperation to do well that made his mind up. Not sure what game you guy's are watching but apart from a bad first two or three touches Goodwillies link up play was fantastic. By far the best striker we have had in some time (that includes Rooney). Open your eyes flocking eyes my fellow Dons fans this guy is a class act and goals will come. As for the strop it only shows he cares. Link to comment
Tord31
Chuffed with the three points - a very important three points to put us in all probability 2nd on Christmas Day. Would fucking love it if we are not 2nd of course. A good performance (not quite as good as last week tho) and could have been a much different story if we'd scored one of the early chances. Hayes MoM for me over Jack. Everyone played well though. Happy days. C'mon United!! Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
I agree but the maddening thing (perhaps a victim of our recent improvement) is that we've no idea if we have a replacement in monokana, smith, shankland or whoever so for that reason I'm minded more to keep him. Link to comment
RAZOR
You don't find it strange that our 'best striker in years' doesn't score goals? He's a long way to go to even come close to getting credit like that. Link to comment
Tord31
Monakana is not being kept on. Simple. Would be an absolutely baffling decision to do anything else. So we'll twist on another loanee from England i'd guess instead. Smith has had a few starts it is Shankland I am bursting to see get a chance - think there is a right player there and we need to develop him into a top player for us Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
I agree although in my very fleeting glimpse of shankland to date (about 15mins in total) I have yet to be convinced, certainly not enough to offload monokana and GW on the strength of it. Like your idea on twisting on someone else right enough. And not Boyd before anybody fucking starts! Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
More than happy to have Goodwillie here but to say he's our best striker in years is a ludicrous statement! Link to comment

minijc
Don't get the flack that Goodwillie gets from some fans, his workrate and play is fucking brilliant, technically he's our best player with Hayes just behind him, he'll get goals for us but as long as he keeps playing like this he'll be fine. Hayes for me was outstanding again today, like this new role that he's playing. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Your kind of arguing against yourself there though mini. I don't think we have an obvious replacement for GW which is why I said above to keep. But then we're maybe not being imaginative enough. I for one would never have thought of Hayes anywhere other than left wing. Link to comment
