St Johnstone V Aberdeen (1 - 1)

Recommended Posts

Think Cammy is light weight but he did have a crack at goal.Brown's triple save at the end was great.

Think Hayes interception to stop 3 v 1 was good.

Disappointed we didn't get the three points tonight,St.Johnstone merited their point for sure,we missed our chances again.

2 games behind Celtic, this is going to be a big ask now but if we can just stay in touch at the split then I think we can still cause them problems.

Amasing how we are missing Taylor when he was such crap at the start of the season !

Poor from the Dons tonight.

Brown Good Game

Logan Ok - for some strange reason not been as good since his suspension has looked indecisive in defence

Considine - best tackler at the club perhaps but not suited to centre half. Not sure where he fits in once we finally sign a specialist left back

Reynolds - shaky game. summed up by first booking in 67 games or something like that. Persistant fouling.

Hayes - played well going forward. Mixed bag at the bag some vital interceptions but also some poor choices

Flood - wow looks older and more unfit than Robson

Jack - didnt manage to get us going quite as much tonight

Rooney - worked hard, smashing goal but maybe shouldnt be on the wing

Pawlett - faded badly second half should have been hooked at 55

McGinn - quiet from him especially second half

Goodwillie - his usual self but if he plays up front on his own he really needs to get in more scoring positions

Smith - did relatively well. forward thinking good

Shankland - needed more time. a couple of good passages of play

Robson - cant run anymore

Scored that is , help me out here is the lad actually a striker ?

Not a striker, a forward in the same mould as the likes of Mcginn. He is pacey and attacking, and in a match where all three of Mcginn and PeePaw seemed ineffectual, i'm not at all surprised that Cammy wasn't either. We have a great first team and if it weren't for that then Smith would be a regular as he has been looking dangerous recently.

Was going to say it was a fair result, until they missed three sitters at the end.

Considine is a fucking carthorse. Fuck knows what he was doing for the first. You're taught at primary school level not to head the ball back in to the danger area. That should have been headed out for a corner. McGinn was nowhere near the right back either. Free cross. Craigan just said McInnes doesn't really rate Considine as a centre half. Why the fuck did he get a new contract then?

Dunno why folk are slating Smith. He came on and we looked infinitely better. With Flood we looked like we were playing with a man down. Apart from a couple of good defensive tackles, I thought Hayes wasn't at his best. Four terrible corners and the rest of his final balls were poor. He never gave up though. McGinn anonymous, Reynolds all over the place, Brown looking dodgy until the wonder save at the end.

I feel sorry for Shankland. Getting the odd 10, 15 minutes here and then expected to go on and get the win.

Today we looked like a team that have made 2 changes or so in 10 games, tired and lacking in ideas.

I agree, except I would add that I liked Goodwillie's performance and though he did well. Glad we gave him an extra year, it was the right choice.

Considine is horse mate.

So 26 points out of 30 and i'm seeing folk having a pop on FB.

Get a fuckin life.

It's a good thing when you think about it. Shows we want more.

Yes Hayes in superb, but we seriously need him pushing forward.

Same old story, LEFT BACK REQUIRED.

Oh and anyone who can seriously single out Cammy Smith for stick tonight must have an axe to grind for some reason.

Get aff the young loons back and gie him a chance.

This.

Thought Smithy played well enough.

Ropey defensively but thank feck for Broon.

To be honest, all this talk of winning the league was utter bullshit. We're no where near good enough to be winning on a consistent basis. The 8 game winning streak was a thing of beauty, but it was a complete fluke in the grand scheme of things. If you look at where we have been since McInnes came in, we've been up and down for the most, and had spells where players had off games, as they have had in the last 2. Reynolds for instance, looks like a Sunday league player at the moment.... concrete boots stuff!

I'll be happy to place 2nd this season and potentially get to another final. I think we need more strength in depth to put up a concerted title push. Anyone can see that. It really is timothy's to throw away.

Strange, but Considine, who used to be rank at full back and reasonably solid at centre half, looks the polar opposite now.

Flood? Is he out of contract next season? Last season he was a stellar performer, but by god, he's well off the pace now. Doesn't look like he's interested.

Take the draw. We're obviously having a bit of a 'time of the month'... team looking a bit off colour. No real surprise after the efforts of the winning streak,

Hayes is wasted at left back, today showed our lack of depth. Smith changed the game and helped the midfield compete because flood was mince.

If we'd had a recognised and fit left back Hayes could have been more effective. One injury and the whole shape of the team is gone

Lesson from tonight is you can't compete for a title with only a good staring 11
