Aberdeen V Inverness (1 - 0)

I'm away for this one, I'm almost glad about it too. I can't stand watching langfield play in goals for us again.

Mcinnes needs to sort this out as the team are starting to drift away and they look like a side longing for the end of the season already I'm wondering if his selection is having an effect on the players attitude? Selecting the likes of flood and langfield isn't going to fill with confidence, I struggled to work out our formation yesterday and it looked like the players were the same.

McInnes must drop Clangers and Flood for this one. If he doesn't drop Clangers then I can see a promising season ending with a whimper. We've still got 8 games left including a massive one against the Glasgow paedos. We absolutely have to beat them at the fourth time of asking to restore some self respect.

this team.

This is clearly our strongest starting 11. Mcinnes can fuck about in meaningless games at the end of the season. Until then play the best team we have week in week out.

A win and second is surely secure.

Defeat and Inverness are only 5 points behind and could be the result they need to get them out of their recent slumber and perhaps confine us to one.

Doubt we'll play so poorly at Pittodrie twice in the space of a few days though. Will require at least Flood to be dropped.

I'm in.

Preferrable:

Brown
Logan Reynolds Taylor Considine
Jack Maclean

Hayes Pawlett McGinn
Rooney

Probable:

Liability

Logan Reynolds Taylor Considine

Jack Flood

Hayes Maclean McGinn

Rooney

If Flood and Langfud start then we will lose this one. Defence has to go back to when it looked confident, ie same back 4 with Brown in goals. Flood just needs benched, seen a better first touch at goals on a Monday night.

It's fairly clear what's happening here...and nothing new...decent defenders are now being called in to question because Langfield is back between the sticks...the teller for me is Considine's recent revelation as Left Back...when Guffy Broon was in goal...

Reynolds has been shite for weeks. Clangers, Reynolds and Flood to be dropped.

Reynolds has been shite since Taylor got injured because Taylor talks the back 4 through the game, anyone who goes regularly can see that.

Brown, Taylor and Reynolds was working, as they all seemed to have confidence in one another, from the goal keeper perspective it seemed to be about his distribution and knowing they could pass the ball back to the man between the sticks, need to go back to that as it looked really solid but on Saturday, Taylor and Reynolds both looked like a big bag of nerves.

I don't think Reynolds will be dropped but he could easily have been he's been as culpable as anyone in some of the poor results and his form has nosedived, if he isn't going to be dropped then at least go back to what was working, Reynolds included.

I'd agree with pretty much all of this.

Ticket situation on Saturday meant we were in row E and from that view point you could hear the players. The only ones that do any amount of talking are Taylor and Hayes. I don't think it's any coincidence that these are two of our best players. Taylor was screaming because of the team's performance and when it came to defending set pieces he is the one pointing people to their men, not Reynolds. Hayes, albeit didn't have a good game, but he regularly voiced his content at pointless long balls and had words with Considine fairly regularly (assuming to make sure they had an understanding as a partnership).

Brown may not be the long term answer but he's no worse than Langfield in most areas and is significantly better from a distributional perspective. Langfield made several errors against Patrick that would be punishable if led to an actual goal so why shouldn't they be punishable regardless? Dropped the ball at a cross, sliced several clearances to give the opposition possession and opportunities to break towards goal.

Might be a brave decision to drop Reynolds but I think it's the kick up the backside he needs.

Let's ring the changes for Wednesday:

Brown

Logan Taylor Daniels Considine

Pawlett Jack Hayes McGinn

McLean

Rooney

That's basically what I said to my mates on Saturday. Folk could argue who the better keeper is out of Langfield and Brown, but the defence looks far more settled with Brown in goal than Langfield and that is by far the most important thing for me

They could argue but the facts are so overwhelmingly in favour of Brown only an total moron would argue in favour of Langfud, that current moron appears to be Derek McInnes.
