Scottish Premiership Season 2015/16 - 85 Point Target

Recommended Posts

Nah, we were 17-3-5 after 25 games last season - 54 points. We were probably tied at the top with them after we'd played 26 games and they had two in hand before the game at Parkhead in early March.

correct! Just noticed I counted the St Johnstone game at the start of the season as an Aberdeen win.

so should be;

PLD W D L PTS

CELTIC 24 18 3 3 57

ABERDEEN 25 17 3 5 54

so last season we were six behind and this season we are three behind?

barring the arse collapse post split this season we should be pushing them all the way

There were mitigating factors in that 'collapse' though. Once it was gone and we were confirmed 2nd there was nothing to play for.

We also kept first choicers off the pitch cos they were on a yellow, McLean, Jack and Flood, DM didn't want to lose them for the start of this season.

Reynolds and McGinn also got time off before international duty.

In the last game against St Johnstone, we had a central Midfield of Pawlett, Smith and Low?

This season will be different.

Title run in would be a lot better if we both kicked off at same time every week.

Between now & the split us & celtic only have ONE game kicking off at same time.

All but two of them (Partick & Hearts game) has our game playing after them. We have less chances to put them under the extra pressure of knowing they MUST win.

That's the sort of shite that Lennon used to come out with when the huns were alive.

Load of nonsense.

Sorry but I am very much an old fashioned football fan that would love for 3 o'clock ko's every Sat. Nothing better than being at games & having the scores from other games filtering through the support. All the better if they really matter.

I hate all these fkd up staggered ko's. Especially when we get down to the nitty gritty end of the season. At very least the post split games should ALL be at same time & seen as we are persisting with this split shit, the last half dozen prior to the split should also be same ko times. Makes the game a lot more exciting.

If we had been in a title chase as much as the huns when they were alive then we would have wanted it just as much. This is new for us now because when we were involved in the past we still had regular ko times.

I agree with the all at 3pm thing. It's the team having an advantage by playing 1st/2nd that I find to be a load of shite.

Well considering we have a bit of bottle crashing history (at least some say this). It would be better if the players didn't have the added pressure on them knowing their nearest challengers results before ko.

Celtic for instance play better (lately) when they are under no pressure & if we have dropped points & they know this prior to their game they will be a lot more relaxed & play a better game. They seem to be struggling under pressure right now & playing shite. So better that they have the pressure of not knowing if we have or have not dropped points.

Reckon they would crack if we were kicking off before them (& winning) but as it is they will be reasonably confident that we will drop points in games after they win.

Crazy that such a poor Celtic side can still not be pushed.

Scottish footbal is pish. Hate all football really because it's no longer a level playing field but the football in this Country is depressingly weighted against all but the arse chheks & no matter how much we wish we could change/challenge this, we are fighting a losing battle.

I will not attend a game that Gollum is in charge of from now on in. There is simply no point. Same can be said of McLean. They are just too dire.

COYR 5 wins on the bounce would fairly sort out our title challenge big style

Just beating last seasons points tally is not an improvement imo because last season we basically took our foot off the gas in the split.

Only massively beating last seasons points tally is an improvement on last season, especially when you consider how shite we have been in the cups.

We are currently two points worse than this time last season.

Seven wins on the bounce would see us bettering our final points tally for last season with five to play. That is the target (no less) & that would hopefully see us closer to Celtic again & putting on some pressure going into the tougher games.

Must be hard for the players & fans not to let the heads drop now & feel sorry for ourselves.

Everything that can go wrong against us seems to doing so.

Celtic are pretty pish & have given us ample chances to not just catch them but to blitz past them.

Our bad luck (& arguably weak squad) has really hurt us this season.

Losing Ward, Losing Hayes & now losing Rooney. Arguably our three most important players (McGinn & Shinnie only ones that could come close) & also losing Logan during a game that we could have closed the gap with. Add the pish performances from Gollum & McLean (in every game they have reffed us this season) & it's safe to say that old Murphy has been giving us a few kicks in the balls.

Injuries to Flood & Jack (whilst not as damaging) also costing us as far as rotation/fitness goes & add in the fact that McInnes is wasting one wage in particular (Robson) when he could actually have a player that could help relieve some pressure on the squad on the bench. also the SHITE form from Taylor & Reynolds.

McInnes has had some pretty honking calls this season. Releasing Quinn at a time when the squad is stretched to the full & injuries/suspensions are a nap & not replacing him was criminal.

Not bringing in a midfielder when one was clearly needed (Tansey was a smokescreen imo otherwise why no back up & why leave it so late).

Bad luck & in some instances (some won't like it but) bad management have seriously hurt us this season so far.

It's sickening the amount of times both cheeks of the same shitey arse get off the hook.
