I thought the same but on reflection I'm not so sure. For the same reason that McInnes knows he is bulletproof unless we find ourselves ever in relegation danger by late Feb/ early March of any of his contracted seasons. Heckingbottom has a contract that would need paid up if they bullet him in addition to paying a new manager. So I think Hibs will hang fire for now and wait to see how their position is in the January break....if theyre still in the bottom 3 or 4 then they might act. 

 

Hearts are in a slightly different position with Levein in that bulleting him might save them some cash (I don't know the ins and outs of his dual manager/DOF contract but suspect they wouldn't have to pay the full whack of both if they dunt him). But even they I think won't panic for now and will leave things for a few weeks at least to see if he can turn it round. I have absolutely no confidence that we will go to Tynecastle in the cup and come away with a win despite Hearts' obvious shiteness.

I appreciate this is an Aberdeen forum but I see this as more reflective of football generally. A complete disdain and lack of understanding of fans. Seeing us merely as consumers. I don't say it to give it the big one. But 8,000 Hearts fans have a direct debit to pay the club funds for no return. Nothing. Just here's money to help.
