Shafted By Appeal Tribunal

The panel and Thompson can go fuck themselves, their decision here is almost laughable, and the victims are moaning of conspiracy too?! There is not an argument in the world that Hayes' tackle was a straight red, it's not even a foul. Some seriously despicable pricks at the SFA, aye more than usual.

I would imagine that in this case, it is perhaps the speed that which Hayes goes into the challenge, in a crunch-like manner, that Thomson has deemed worthy of using excessive force (given the distance he is from the ball, the distance he is from Lustig, the position of their respective bodies too). The panel will have understood this,

I agree...all the noise that's been made about the Luke Shaw leg break just now...what with the boy who committed the deed not even getting booked...they are similar tackles...fair but hard...if they overturned the red it would look bad given the going on's in the past week...IMHO.

Van Gaal not sparing Shaw's blushes...fucking crying?...really?

"It is awful. It was a very bad tackle. He had the oxygen mask on and was crying in the dressing room," said manager Louis van Gaal.

The lad who made the tackle, got the MOTM award, and Roy Keane today said it was a fantastic tackle, or words to that.

Should have been a yellow card for the tackle but we just have to take it on the chin, it's hardly a massive injustice as some folk above who don't seem in full control of their emotions are suggesting.

Red was harsh but not entirely unexpected when you see Lustigs reaction, that more than anything made up the refs mind.

Nobody is really questioning the refs (spur of moment) decision though.

Just questioning the idiotic tribunal panels spineless fear of doing the right thing rather than bending over to the hordes

The way he launched into the tackle was slightly reckless.

It's not worth arguing about and outrage will make no difference. He's banned and that's it.

That's the thing though, he hasn't launched in to anything. He's slid in and clearly won the ball, which is perfectly legal.

I know it makes no difference, but if something's wrong I call it as such. Like you saying it's a yellow, or the SFA deeming it a 2 game ban offence. Unless you ban contact in football this decision is scandalous.

What a load of garbage. Take this Man Utd shite somewhere else.

I can suggest the Monkey House.

even though he won the ball fairly, because of his pace they'll have considered it a dangerous tackle. Not sure how he's meant to slow up before tackling though?

It's just a case of the SFA backing their ref. Must be embarrassing for them the amount of cards that get rescinded these days, it's almost as if they're trying to convince us that their ref's are competent.

Talk of "it should have been a yellow" is havering. If it was a foul then it was a red the speed he came in at.

However, given that it wasn't actually a foul given then it should have been overturned.

I think other posters are right that the bias in these appeals is not really about Glasgow bias, it's more institutional bias to cover the blushes of their referees by almost never ruling against them.

That's not really accurate as they have overturned the last 3 reds by Collum.
