Hearts V Aberdeen (1 - 0)

Edinburgh Weather Update:

Dry, cold and clear (actually a really nice morning, bizarrely). Temperatures hovering around the freezing mark. Not much rain forecast for between now and the game so I think we'll be going ahead (unless the temperature drops so much that the pitch freezes, given all the rain that has fallen over the past week, but that seems highly unlikely).

Hope all my north-east chums are coping ok with the torrential downpours - just seen the pics on the BBC website and sheesh! it looks grim. Take care up there and especially when heading down tomorrow.

Bit of a noob with the pubs to go to before games at tynecastle - was down at the 3-1 earlier this year but just drove, parked up outside and went into a bar basically right across from tynecastle - didn't venture to any other pubs.

Where's best to try? Our train's are to haymarket but will go to waverley and city center if the pubs round gorgie are poor that's if there's even much option round Gorgie for dons fans.

Rose Street pub crawl then walk down.

Roseburn is decent and not far from the crowd, but will be packed and probably stop letting more people in early doors.

Try the Hard Rock Cafe, they do excellent daiquiris.

Frenchies on Rose Street should be decent.

Doing the same. Going for a few in city centre then making way to ground later on. Grassmarket has some excellent boozers.

I predict the the club is going to come out of this game with a fine.

I just can't see all our fans behaving, a combination of an evening kick off and the inability of some to handle their drink is just asking for trouble.

Fingers crossed for an Aberdeen win as that would soften the blow.

Hopefully not. The atmosphere is going to more than rowdy given all the above that's for sure.

Should be a cracking day out.
