Guest RosemountRed
Looking around at potential long term replacements, Scott Bain looks to be the best option. He only has one year left on his contract by the time the summer transfer window comes around, you would think around £250,000 bid could secure us him, and he could be our keeper for 8 to 10 years potentially. Andy_123
No chance is Bain £250k better than Brown. Not that I think Brown is our long term solution 1 Link to comment
dazzy_deff
I'd suspect if Rodgers is given a new deal, it will be him and Brown as our two keepers next season. Link to comment

NPRC
Rogers and a new signing...but that new signing won't be Bain and won't be anyone costing £250k. I'd put my money on a youngster on loan from the EPL...or Cammy Bell... Link to comment
RUL
We need a new keeper but i'm not sure Bain is better. Link to comment
tup
Ward must be spewing anyway, zero minutes of football since returning to Liverpool, living the EPL dream. I'd have some serious questions for my nazi fucker of a boss if that happened to me. Link to comment

tup
2-0 to us in wars anyway, they get their revenge 70 years later by benching our promising young keepers. Link to comment

Guest RosemountRed
We need a new keeper but i'm not sure Bain is better. From what I've seen he is. Brown certainly isn't our long term solution. Link to comment
BWG
Bain is a typical SPL keeper in that he pulls off some great reflex saves but can't deal with crosses to save his life. I suspect the Cammy Bell thing will come back and we'll give Rogers a new deal. Link to comment
The Boofon
I'd rather have Ward in the sticks and be under Nazi rule tbh. You can only have one. I'd go for Nazi rule. Blonde hair, over 6 feet tall and blue eyes. Top genes. Link to comment
tup
Also, we'd be winning the Champions League etc. To be frank, I'm raging that my grandparents won these wars and plunged us into poverty. They should have lost them deliberately, especially the second one. Link to comment

The Hulk
No chance is Bain £250k better than Brown. Not that I think Brown is our long term solution Craig Samson available on a free transfer is worth a punt more than Bain in my opinion. Decent quality Premier League keeper who's got better as he's got older, I'm a bit baffled why both St MIrren & Kilmarnock allowed him to move on, makes me wonder if there might be personality issues because he'd been one of their best players on both occasions, most recently in the Scotland squad in June 2015. I think he's not playing for Motherwell because of their loan agreement for Ripley. He's better than Bain in my opinion, certainly not worse than Brown. I'd still like us try to do better but it's a difficult market to find a really good keeper for peanuts these days hence the loan market thing... Link to comment

The Hulk
LOL dazzy min, is that a straight up LOL, or is it "I've bought a LOL, you know I've got it, but I'm not giving it to you until it's OK with your Dad first LOL"? 2 Link to comment
Andy_123
I would go back to Liverpool in the summer and ask for another loan deal for Ward next season. A complete waste of everyone's time taking him back. They have just given Mignolet a 5 year deal so no chance is Ward going to get game time there next season either Link to comment
Zander1903
does no 1 rate Rodgers yet? imho i'd keep brown for another year with Rodgers as backup unless we sign Ward on a free in the summer Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Rodgers in as No.2 & sign a good keeper for No.1. Please don't let us go down another ten years of having shite between the sticks. How about we find an actual good reliable keeper. Link to comment
Poodler
Any keeper not coached by Jim Leighton Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
Rogers all the fucking way. Noone in the SPL is worth paying money for...if we had a couple of hundred grand and we spent it on any SPL keeper I'b be fucking annoyed (not counting Craig Gordon in that - but fuck him anyway the Wurzel Gummidge looking tink). If we have a couple of hundred grand to spend, spend it on the outfield (right back or striker).Accies keeper is probably the best SPFL keeper & probably the only one i'd be happy with us signing & even paying a small fee for.Gordon obviously (even though he has had a few mares) is still decent but nae danger of getting him. dave_min
Rogers all the fucking way. He's not good enough either. Link to comment
newcastlered
I still think Ward will find his way back here next season. If not, unless it's Randolph or Ruddy, I wouldn't want any current or recent past goalkeeper from the SPFL as most are piss Link to comment
