I was told by the family member of an attendee that one of the samplers complained that the pie was not in tinfoil and that serving it on the plate was not a match day experience. That's genuine. He was asked if he wanted them to let the seagulls in as well but I'm unsure of his response.

I attended one of these pie tasting things, about 10 years ago.

The thing is, these guys will make you the nicest pie known to mankind for a tasting session. It's the mass production of them that is the real important part. That and whether they are fresh, have been pre-frozen, thawed out too quick, heated up too much, left standing to go stale etc etc.

 

It's a bit like false advertising. Take any McDonalds or Burger King add.... looks amazing with all that crunchy lettuce, huge slice of juicy tomatoe, slab of beefsteak that would fear you. Rock up at one of their fast food joints and order one at 1am on a Saturday morning and it's a completely different beastie.

And the Gillette adverts - you're not telling me that the dude who shaves the side of his coupon and is left with a strip that's as smooth as a porn star's waxed pussy, hasn't already shaved before and then reapplied the shaving foam?
