Actually yes - according to the Jambo at my work they've also got a bit of an injury crisis brewing for this one, with their squad likely to be depleted for tomorrow's game. Link to comment
muttonhumper
New club record for Hearts if we fail to net tomorrow... Hearts will set a new club record if they keep a clean sheet against Aberdeen tomorrow.Never in their 143-year history have the Tynecastle side gone six consecutive games without losing a goal, but that milestone could be reached at Pittodrie.Wednesday’s goalless draw with Hibs was Hearts’ fifth successive clean sheet after manager Craig Levein set about improving his back line.Goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin and his defenders could now etch their names in history tomorrow afternoon. Hearts have managed five games without losing a goal on eight separate occasions in the past. They achieved that feat in 1905, 1921, 1936, 1973, 1988, 1991, 1993 and 2010. A sixth shutout would be groundbreaking. Levein will send his team out with the intention of beating Aberdeen but admitted to a fair degree of satisfaction that they are now unbeaten in their last eight games. Link to comment

We actually won 8 league games in a row without conceding but in between the first and second league games of that run we lost in the SC at Dundee. Dundee were also the team that ended our clean sheet run with a 3-3 draw. Hopefully we can end Hearts run by sticking 3 goals past them but without conceding 3 in the process. Link to comment
muttonhumper
Aye.Wis thinking we had a few of those runs in recent seasons. Must have had that holy grail (for Hearts) of six on fck knows how many occasions since 1903.Special shout for the Bobby Clark 12 game run in early 70s. Link to comment

Shinniesta
Thats another one for their "Honours" list along with the Tennents Sixes trophylol. That was funny when they listed it as one of their major hounours. Guess thats what a complete lack of trophies in the last half century or so does to you. I have a workmate who is a big jambo and he occasionally pipes up that they are the biggest non old firm team in Scotland. I never tire of reminding him that we won more major trophies in a 12 month period (5) from May 1983 to May 1984 than they have in the last 55 years (3). Then hell say But youve done nothing since Fergie left which is when I remind him that since Fergie left weve won more major trophies (4) than any other non OF team have in that same period. Then he comes out with League Cups dont count etc. They certainly dont count for Hearts because they never win it. Im sure if they actually won it hed take a slightly different view. I once asked him if the League Cup doesnt count why did he attend the final they lost to St Mirren a few years ago. He couldnt really answer me. Link to comment

Wester Hailes Skins
Don't ask me. Going through SAD blues with life and football. Feel like I USED to be a Hearts fan. Budge is a fucking passion killer, Hearts fans these days are rockets, certainly at home, our atmosphere is non existent, we've no songs, our team is shit with no characters and our stand is £15m of poorly designed mediocrity. And kickback is inhabited by weird happy clappers, like the club's PR dept. Sad cos it started as an anti establishment forum. Bit pissed. But feel like hope we get pumped. One of they moods with ma club. Miss the 90s. No even travelling tomorrow. Gonna sit in a pub on ma own and go through ma Hearts scrapbook thinking about players like Berry, Foster, Baird, Kidd, McCleary. Not really. But Hearts 2017-18 is as vanilla and boring as you can get. Players like Pointon used to come into Robbos for a beer and a sing song. Well done Budge. Who's for face painting, buying a programme, not singing, paying into FOH and staying seated? Feel it for Berra. Eagle surrounded by pigeons. But he's made his money. Wonder what it's like at Edinburgh City or Spartans. ? Signing out. Merry Christmas reds. Ho ho fuckin ho. ☹ Link to comment

Only two weeks ago you pumped the victims 4-0 and youre unbeaten in 8 games with 5 clean sheets in a row (although we all know you didnt really keep a clean sheet the other night against popcorn teeths team). Things are far better now than under Cathro surely? Hearts back to being tight at the back, physical and hard to beat. I thought that was the horrible Hearts that you wanted back and craved when Cathro was in charge? Link to comment
