It’s been a frustrating past year with Sammy but I do wish him all the best he’s been a big player over the last few years. Only weird thing is we were set to get him on a free in the summer, yet paid a small fee to bring him in earlier to develop in the reserves. Perhaps we didn't think he would amount to that much so would have agreed to a sell on if Carlisle had asked, but surely we could just have told them to poke it and waited until the summer when we didn't have any immediate plans to stick him in the first team?
