If they actually bother to properly renovate Hampden then it's fine.  They won't though.  This is just the latest in a string of archaic decisions made by an out of touch governing body that isn't fit for purpose.

So, its supposed to be £5m purchase price, but price will actually be £19m due to liabilities held over from the rebuilding of the stadium from the late 90s.

 

And, we are expected to believe that the issue of the stands ahin the goals being too far from the playing surface will be addressed? How? Only way you can do is rebuild them.

 

Like that will happen. We are still repaying the costs of the the 90s redevelopment, and folk think they will rip down the work done then, and replace them?

On a seperate note, folk say Hampden has poor rail links. Yet, it has 3 stations nearby. The issue is a lack of trains being provided.

There was never a choice in the matter.

The SFA suits were simply pretending there was, to get a few nights out on the piss to after their free slap up meals arranged to 'discuss' the matter. It also helped to get public pressure on it to keep the price of the purchase to a minimum
