Ernie McCracken
Neither. Individual games should be played at a stadium with a capacity and location that is suitable for that particular game. 5 1 Link to comment
Andy_123
Flatten Hampden, build a 30-40k stadium there and play the big games at Murrayfield. Will never happen. 1 Link to comment
dave_min
Hampden has won. I’m shocked. Link to comment
Dr_Manhattan
Let me just add my expression of shock that Hampden has been selected. This decision was made months ago. 1 Link to comment
NEM
Let me just add my expression of shock that Hampden has been selected. This decision was made months ago. I doubt there was ever any intention of having a decision to make. Posturing from the Strathclyde FA to get Hampden on the cheap. Weegie centric clowns - Hampden is an abortion 1 Link to comment
BWG
If they actually bother to properly renovate Hampden then it's fine. They won't though. This is just the latest in a string of archaic decisions made by an out of touch governing body that isn't fit for purpose. Also - fuck Glasgow. Link to comment
sooth_stander
So, its supposed to be £5m purchase price, but price will actually be £19m due to liabilities held over from the rebuilding of the stadium from the late 90s. And, we are expected to believe that the issue of the stands ahin the goals being too far from the playing surface will be addressed? How? Only way you can do is rebuild them. Like that will happen. We are still repaying the costs of the the 90s redevelopment, and folk think they will rip down the work done then, and replace them? Wishfull thinking. On a seperate note, folk say Hampden has poor rail links. Yet, it has 3 stations nearby. The issue is a lack of trains being provided. Link to comment
Bluto10
Moving away from Hampden would be similarly shortsighted as any ridiculous notion the FA have ofselling Wembley. Needs serious rebuilding tho. 2 Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
There was never a choice in the matter. The SFA suits were simply pretending there was, to get a few nights out on the piss to after their free slap up meals arranged to 'discuss' the matter. It also helped to get public pressure on it to keep the price of the purchase to a minimum Link to comment
V for Vendetta
So the SFA effectively bribed to stay at Hampden and "keep Glasgow the home of Scottish Football" Hmmm. Link to comment

Imagine if you bought an area of ground that size in Glasgow for £5 million. You'd make a fucking killing. Link to comment

RUL
Games should be moved about, especially cup ties. I don't know when this strange requirement about playing semi finals at hampden started but there's no need for it. Link to comment
