starryfish
If we can pick up wins in our next two matches, which we should be doing, it will have been a decent start to the domestic season. Lewis Logan Taylor Considine Hayes Ferguson McCrorie Wright McGinn Hedges Edmondson Link to comment
Chewie37
It's the DM way........win a lot of the "easier" matches then get everyone upbeat about the bigger matches, just for us to flop. Ah well, at least it isn't boring......no wait Link to comment
WesthillWanderersFC
We usually change it up a bit after a European trip. Hoban will be rested so maybe a back 4? Lewis Logan Taylor Considine Hayes McCrorie Ferguson Hedges Wright Watkins Edmondson Thats a horrendous back 4, and we’ll almost certainly concede. 1-1 or we’ll scrape out a 2-1 win Edmondson to get off the mark Link to comment
Tord31
Edmondson deserves a start but I'd prefer it was part of a 2 if possible. I think Logan needs a rest and presuming Hoban takes a rest too.... Why have we got a hundred injuries again? Link to comment
pocrawred
Got to win this convincingly. Play Hoban and use a back 3. Edmondson on from start to grab a few early goals. Link to comment

Would like to see that, cause Hedges Wright and Watkins link up very well - but without ever looking like scoring. 3-0 Aberdeen with an Edmundo hat trick is the call Link to comment

Edmondson on from start to grab a few early goals. McInnes has said that Hoban isn’t at the stage where he can play two games in three days. A defence without both Hoban & McKenna looks shite, but that’s how it is at the moment. We ideally need a good McKenna replacement but with another 6 months of no income from crowds, maybe unlikely. pocrawred
I hope we start with a winning team, score a few in 1st half then sub off some that need the rest. The league is our bread and butter so need to get the winning mentality back. 1 - 3 Aberdeen. Link to comment
Simply Red
If we dont win this by 8 clear goals the manager should resign. 1 Link to comment

If Hoban starts then I think he'll try that 532 from last night again. Can't see us playing the 343 until Kennedy is back. Hayes and Kennedy are crucial to that system. Link to comment

Ten Caat
Game is on grass, don't expect Hoban to be dropped unless he is carrying a niggle from last night. Would like to see Edmondson get a start, ideally in tandem with Watkins but that's probably too cavalier an approach for McInnes so more likely that Watkins would drop to the bench. Wright deserves his starting place back. Logan wasn't great last night but if anyone is going to drop out I'd say he was favourite. Can see a draw being the outcome. Link to comment
afc1903mad
I think Watkins has done well for us, however like many have posted on here so far, I think its time to put someone in who may be a more natural finisher. As good as Hoban is, we do need to manage his game time and ensure he does not relapse, which would be worse for us in the long term. Also, whilst 3-4-2-1 has been good for us, defensively we are stretched, meaning we may likely need to play an alternative formation. the 4-2-3-1 therefore seems favourable, otherwise it means McCrorie to go into the back three with Taylor and Considine. If I were to guess what DM will do, McCrorie will be in defence, so on that basis, here's how I would line up the team for Sunday ........................Lewis .......McCrorie Taylor Considine McLennan Ferguson McGeouch Hayes .........Wright........... Hedges ..................Edmunson Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Get McRorie the fuck out of that position this instant! If Hobans not fit Id be going back 4 again. 1 Link to comment

Hoban starts in defence and McRorie in midfield, Edmondson starting and getting a few goals in first half then Hoban can come off with no injury worries. McInnes will set us up not to lose if he starts the likes of taylor. Thats where our problems start..... My thoughts anyway. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Agree. We then invite pressure on the very players we're trying to rest. Caveat: Not sure what my forward line would be between Wright, Hedges, Mclennan, Edmondson and Watkins to get us those goals right enough. Link to comment
