Your point about Shilton being out-jumped by Maradona doesn’t make the slightest bit of sense.

Fucking shut up you Hun cunt.

If you are addicted to something and have no control over it how does anyone manage to stop?

If someone has £20 in his pocket and gambles it or spends it on bevvy instead of food for their family they are just making a bad choice they aren't "addicted"

What about physical addiction? Are withdrawal symptoms imaginary?

So people who are addicted can just stop at any point they want? Like you did?

It's just a word to disguise bad choices.

No, they really can't.

I didn't 'just' stop. I smoked for 9 years and the last 2 of them was me attempting to cut down with a mind to finally stop.

2 years.

The first 5 days of actually not smoking were hell.

You have quite an extreme position on this so if you have the mental control not to be addicted to things then fair play to you but for many of us, it's not so easy.

"Being addicted to something means that not having it causes withdrawal symptoms, or a "come down". Because this can be unpleasant, it's easier to carry on having or doing what you crave, and so the cycle continues"

Cunts make the easy choice.

So addiction is real, but can be overcome?  Glad we sorted that out.

It's just a series of bad choices.

I'm not being critical of anyone, I make bad choices everyday,

Sitting at a kids playpark with your phone out while your own kid is at his grannies house would be one of them.
