Whilst we're talking about signings, let's not forget that this is a manager who was unable to accommodate James Maddison in his team.

Dons were in great form while he was on the bench. When he played he didn't like getting tackled.

He owes a lot to his time at Aberdeen, unfortunately it worked out better for him than us. Christie in the second half of that season was a far better loan signing.

Christie was more used to Scottish football than Maddison but you could see by Maddisons touch and vision he was destined for better things like he has. Maddison also gave us one of the best moments in recent times at Pittodrie with that free kick against Sevco.

That goal alone grants him hero status

Willie Miller's comments defending him?

He's got to be on the drink,or drugs.

Quite mental that someone like Miller could come out in his defence.

Did Connor to to Kilmarnock & Bett to some team in Iceland?

Aye Bett went to Iceland, iirc it wasn't the team he had played for there early on in his career. But he wasn't there long, only 4 or 5 months and came back to sign for Hearts

Connor went to Killie as you say

Is there any evidence that they are thinking of getting rid of mccinnes at the end of the season

Some might point to the rapid change in the language McInnes has used for players coming in.

He went from being quite definite about making changes to saying no-one would be coming in.

That could be purely down to club finances, which is understandable & fair enough.

COVID might end the season too so why pay players unnecessarily for doing nothing?

But some might say it’s because they don’t want to bring players in when they’re planning managerial changes in the summer.

The westcoast brain washing is the most toxic thing about Scottish football. Every pundit, journalist, manager, player buying into and promoting that Rangers and Celtic cannot and should not be touched. As we have all said plenty of times, all it takes to challenge is to beat the shite around us and take a few points off Rangers & Celtic on the day. That would see us at least challenging... but no apparently that isnt possible.

Imagine big Yogi Hughes telling Diego Simeone in 2014 to get real if he thought he could win La Liga

Come on, atletico were still spending 10s of millions on players on 120k plus wages+

Surely easier for them to split barca and real

In fact, "rangers" are like atletico to celtic being barca,  resource wise

What I'm getting at is more the fact that Atletico did it by beating all the teams they do have more spending power than. Like us versus Motherwell, Ross County and Hamilton

A good few clichés rolled out here.

Why do they think we are dying to split the old firm?

We just want to watch some good football, pick up a cup, and feel hopeful that we're going to make progress.

He's got the third biggest budget, and should be doing better. I absolutely despise the love in all the press and media have for him. McInnes is the definition of a charlatan.

Gets paid handsomely for the pleasure of managing our club too, probably the most any non OF manager has been paid.

Yogi Hughes is a moron anyway.

I don't mean pick up a cup every season, I mean pick up a cup every 5/6 years! Not an unrealistic expectation when you consider whoever wins the league cup this season will be more successful or as equally successful as McInnes' Aberdeen.

Hughes wasn't even aware that we'd finished 2nd 4 times on the spin, he'd said we'd finished 4th, 4th, 4th, 3rd. He can't even put up a proper and coherent defence of his mate!
