What would you suggest happens?

Lower the amount of loyalty required? There are plenty of fans who are DNA members and attend half the games a season without being able to  commit to a season ticket due to travel or work commitments. Yet they are still left on the 250 mark for points because they haven't actually bought a season ticket. Do you not think after the last 18 months every fan deserves the opportunity to attend a game?

I don’t think you should get DNA loyalty points. The allocation of tickets should be based on season ticket points thus rewarding those who paid up front and are regular attenders.

That's been my biggest gripe since the scheme was introduced. DNA is the same points as a season ticket for half the cost. And can in theory not attend a single game and have same points as a ST holder.

Regardless of the dna points if we are talking about games attended and I go to 19 individual games per season v a season ticket holder attending the 19 home games

A) i spend more

B) get less loyalty points

You spend more yes, but ST holders are putting the money up front which allows the club to budget better. There is obviously going to be a benefit of forking out for the ST as opposed to walking in for every game. Otherwise everybody would just walk in for games.

I understand the money up front part and if i knew it was worth my while I would just get the season ticket instead of attending as and when. It just seems a bit shit that individual games leaves you still quite a bit short to the 400 point mark that they are setting for tickets.

Ive been a season ticket holder for years up until last season when we didnt renew, and attended every home cup game in that time, every cup semi final and final and the odd away game. Even with the additional 80 points added for last year and this year ST id be nowhere near 450. So wouldnt gripe about that.

Serves the tight cunt right for having a student season ticket for years when he's never been to Uni or college ?

I got him a ticket this morning, there's loads left

What benefits Aberdeen more?

Not having a go, but it sounds like most of your spend is going to the opposition teams and supporting them

I understand your plight and if you cannot commit to going to home games as often, I feel for you, but surely its right for the club to reward those that give the club more at this time.

I'm unable to go this weekend although could have purchased a ticket as I had made previous arrangements before the covid restrictions were relaxed, but will be hoping that the Dons can get a win on what is recently been a tough place to go to (for all teams)

Points are awarded for away games as well as they should be.  Only thing I don't agree with is getting them for DNA, that's a fucking farce

Aye, fair play, but someone who ticks all the boxes (ST, DNA, Away game attendee) surely deserves some prioritisation for the commitment they are able to provide.

They've incentivised this cash-back thing this year to try and sell more ST's. I've nae looked into it as nae that bothered. I'd rather the club invested it in the team, however there are non cash things that the club could do to reward fans.

Awarding a bit more points for a season ticket than DNA would probably fix this.

Maybe the simplest way is to award points based on spend. Every purchase in the shop, kids summer camps, ST's, DNA, away games, cup games.

It may seem crass, but ultimately those with the most points are the ones who have spent the most with the club

So if a family with three kids all have ST's and buy full kits for the kids, put them on the summer football camps but only go to occasional away games, should they not be rewarded to have more loyalty points for illustrious games such as cup finals etc

I know this may rile up some, just playing devils advocate and putting out a hypothetical out there

Aye I get that argument.

Maybe I'm just a bit old fashioned but the thought that folk that have continually bought season tickets year in year out being immediately usurped by new DNA members just seems a wee bit ungrateful to those that have supported the club and followed the team year in year out.
