I quite like that Glass can see he’s done now at our level, the fact he has acted and released Gurr aswell is positive.

McGinn has been a very good servant to the club but Mcinnes should never have re-signed him from Korea, was never the same.

Hopefully means we can bring in another striker to play alongside Ramirez or challenge him for topspot.

Aye, great player for us. Signed at the same time as Hayes and both proved to be massive signings. 
 

immense in that first spell. Would argue he was still top class when he came back for a while. He seemed to age about 10 years from the season ending in March 2020 and restarting in August though.

Definitely worth taking back. Definitely wasn’t worth a 1 year deal last summer but I guess Glass was just figuring cunts out.

Wish him well. As has been said. Fantastic in first spell. Especially when used as striker by Brown. Still baffles me that Mcinnes never used him in same way when we needed one. 
 

Hopefully his corner kicks continue to be as brutal for Dundee as they were for us though

Remember he used to hit the post almost every game, sometimes twice? It was bizarre how often it happened in his first spell.

One of the best players (in terms of contribution) I have seen in a red shirt and I started watching in the late 80's. He loved Aberdeen FC, the city and the fans. He will always be a legend. Good luck Nail and Stand Free.

All the best Niall. One of my favourite Aberdeen players ever. For a few years he, along with Hayes, had you off your seat with expectancy every time he got the ball. A prime Niall McGinn is exactly the kind of player we're screaming out for just now, so hopefully the new Dutch lad can step up to the mark. It's a bit of a shame it all fizzled out for him in the way that it did, but he'll be remembered for his first spell where he was consistently not just one of our best players, but one of the best players in the league.

Easy to forget how good he was at times.  Also, that tune is still ace 40+ years on.
