Terrible choice by the BBC.  The decent thing about the coverage on BBC Radio Scotland on a Saturday was that it is generally neutral with all teams and leagues getting some coverage.  Worst thing they could do was give it to an old firm supporting weegie tabloid hack.  I genuinely can't stand the sound of this halfwit's voice.

Kenny MacIntyre is a crap presenter and an absolutely dreadful sports journalist - completely lacks the ability to report or comment without bias- in fact he comes across as a full on tinfoil hat wearing hun weirdo.

Says a lot about the professionalism and attitudes of the BBC Scotland sports dept in my opinion.

They seem pretty comfortable being a raging hun fanzine with a bit of Celtic chat chucked in for balance.

Plus he had a thorough grounding in the sport.  He was quite happy to jump between quite rightly openly discussing the Huns latest Euro success despite their continuing petulance towards the BBC but then happy, informed and competent enough to jump to something else equally merited but that didnt carry the same level of support - whether that was an equaliser at Capilow, a red card at Starks Park or wherever.  That is the nature of sports coverage.  Its there to cover the sport, not just the bits that some want repeated over and over and over because there's enough of them to somehow demand that.  That just becomes self-fulfilling and it is to the damage of the sport in general.

The OF supporting presenters can't be trusted to show any impartiality- their whole mindset is swamped with a sort of sporting entitlement.

But MacIntyre takes the award for the most one sided miopic bawbag on the BBC sportsound payroll. When he took over the mid week shows they became unlistenable for anyone who's not a hun and not happy to listen to complete hun pandering. He doesn't know a thing about what's going on at other clubs.

The beeb appointing him to their Saturday show is a massive statement of what they are about and what's at the heart of bbc sport Scotland.
