There were rumours years ago that David Murray had a close relationship with the Bank of Scotland and a friendship with Gavin Masterton (director of BoS).

Rangers would lowball bids for whatever SPL player they fancied at the time, and as the majority of clubs were heavily in debt, BoS would lean on clubs to accept the bids.

Masterton left BoS when they merged with Halifax, and being a mate of Murray, he joined Dunfermline and they went into admin and I believe he was personally made bankrupt.

When Calderwood took over the reins at Dunfermline, didn’t he say part of the plan was that he was lined up to be the next rANJurS manager, as part of this shady agreement between Murray and Masterton?

I know Robson won't do it but should make him captain. Best player, always geeing folk up, leads by example when it comes to pressing, celebrates like a madman, means Shinnie doesn’t have to be an automatic pick.

Nope. Definitely not make him captain. Why risk adding more responsibilities on him & risk spoiling his game.

We need to sign a captain. Should be central defender or midfielder as well.

Hate seeing goalkeepers or strikers as captain

That sounds about right,  Calderwood mentioned this a few times after he left Pittodrie.

Aye the thick oaf actually said thieving sportsound openly admitting that rangers had colluded with him and dunfermline, of course no action was taken or any investigations carried out,  and  this was of course when the oaf was manager at dunfermline, a club that got best by 5 goals  in  last day at home to rangers  to ensure the huns won the league although im sure that was all above board.

Not allowed to imply there is (or ever has been) any kind of bias/corruption in Scottish football. That’s impossible. It simply could never happen here.
Not like in Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, South America etc.

Scottish football is far too honest for such things to ever happen & to even imply such things will have you & your tinfoil hat being openly ridiculed.

This is way beyond rumours! The BOS debt provided to the Murray Group, including the Huns was astronomical, in comparison to the relative strength of the Murray Groups overall covenant, including the Huns!
the governance of decision making in the bank was overridden on a number of occasions to provide this, by Masterton personally.
Couple that with the conflict of interest, given bos banked several premier league clubs, including Celtic, who they pulled the plug on….hmmmmm🤔

Masterton was a manky, corrupt, hun cunt and in my opinion abused his power, beyond the banks, governance and decision making to support his ‘mate’! Just another cog in the same machine that provides ‘penalty to the Huns’! The entire system, is and was riddled with pro hun corruption.

Disgusting!

We wont be getting near some of what is quoted on here for him. We'll likely hold onto him till the summer, where clubs will bid for him. He'll get a Serie A team bid for him, which will likely turn his head. By that stage he'll have 2 years left on contract and will want to to cash in. Given our previous record was circa 4.5m the chances of getting somewhere double that are slim to none.

It'll be around 6m plus sell on.

Minimal difference between 2 years left and 3 years left. He's now proved himself in European group stages so value will be increased based on that.

Like others have said it's likely that 6m was offered in payments/drabs. All his European performances have done is likely meaning we can ask for that upfront with hopefully some decent add ons IMO. If we got more than 6m upfront would be amazed.
