fine-n-dandy
Will JG show them fear/too much respect again like the opening game? Will he go for it or will it be a case of damage/GD limitation Would be a perfect time to beat them. Even more so if Hibs were to take something off Huns on Thursday Link to comment
bonzodaddy73
I see nothing but defeat for us here. Our defence is shite for want of a better word. Link to comment
sooth_stander
No Scales, so only 2 centre halves, if you class McCrorie as one. Can’t see how Goodwin continues with a back 3 unless Jack McKenzie plays the Scales role. Link to comment
Ten Caat
I think he'll go with a back 4 for this one, McCrorie covering for Scales and Richardson back in the side at right back. Pointless us sitting back and trying to hit them on the break. All that would do is ensure they'd have something like 20-30 attempts on goal and you'd imagine at least 3 would go in. Just have a go at them, their defence isn't great. I'd rather lose 5-2 having at least attempted to be constructive than 3-0 having attempted to shitfest a draw from the game Link to comment
Footballs coming Rome
Would like to see a back 4 and a midfield 4 with two quick wingers ready to counterattack. Barron and Ramadani deep with Duk playing the 10 role a bit deeper and miovski up top. Don’t think we want to make the same mistake as we didn’t against Rangers at ibroke. Link to comment
thurso
Heart says 2-1 Aberdeen head not so sure about that. Really need to have a go at them can’t be sitting back like the last two games against them and sevco already this season. Link to comment
RAZOR
Bit strange we never got the chance to get some friendlies under our belt during the break. No Scales will be also be a big loss. Hopefully the rest has done them good and the home form continues but I'm not confident. Link to comment

GeorgeStreetReds
McCrorie at centre-back is not filling me with confidence. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Happy to eat my words but reckon he’ll treat it the same way as august which for us was apparently a training game to get our fitness up for the following week. 0-2 Link to comment
Dal Riata Don
(Back to proper football - at long last) In this type of game Goodwin gets to try out a few new ideas (and has to due to Scales), under the proviso well it's Celtic isn't it? He'll revert to 3-5-2 in the second half but I'd expect something different first half including some amount of player rotation. Can't wait, COYRs. 1 Link to comment
aberdeen1970
He might play Mackenzie instead of Scales and leave the other two centre backs where they are. Link to comment
zeroisgod76
Can't see anything other than a defeat... 0-3. Link to comment
The Gee Man
If we can keep it tight and build into the game we have a chance, very slim but a chance. Lose an early goal and it’s curtains. Hoping 2-2, but probably 1-3 Link to comment
Helmet
Suicide for us to play the set up we were before the break, it sure is even call it a 352. More like 3142 with no tracking back. Presumably Goodwin knows this and we play 4 or even 5 at the back. Link to comment

Maybe a 532 one game, 352 when required and even 433 etc. play to your strengths or weaknesses. Link to comment

CCB III
Looking forward to getting back. Not looking forward to the match at all. Perhaps JG is completing some sort of tactical overhaul, hence why he didn't want any friendlies played. Either a stroke of genius or naively foolish. Any sort of positive result would be a bonus. WesthillWanderersFC
The Tims love playing us at Pittodrie, because we usually roll out the red carpet for them & sit off & admire them. Dons 1 - 3 Tims 1 Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Hun game on Thursday will have a bearing too (why Thursday btw, tele?) if they lose that the Tims will be absolutely feverish. Link to comment

No chance the Huns lose at home to Hibs. Hibs are fucking rotten. 2-0 or 3-0 the scum. Link to comment
Ten Caat
I agree Hibs are shite but for some unknown reason they generally seem to do better against the arse cheeks than we do. Theoretically they should take a pumping on Thursday night but it wouldn't be at all surprised to see them leave with a point. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Agreed. Beale will go one of two ways. Hopefully it’s the tragically out of depth, bubble burst, actually horse shit direction. Link to comment
BaaBaaRedSheep
We ain't going to get anything from the Tims. Damage limitation, not exerting too much effort and get after the Huns in the next game. Link to comment
