Aberdeen 3 - 1 Motherwell

Recommended Posts

Absolute MUST win. Lose this one and we're up to our necks in jobby water. If the old adage about refereeing fuck ups leveling themselves out over the course of a season has any truth to it, then hopefully Motherwell will get an early red card for a player sneezing out of turn, then in the last minute of stoppage time with the game poised at nil-nil, the ref will pick up the ball deep in our half and run the length of the field beating every Motherwell player then rifling the ball into the top corner. Then again, probably not.

2-1 the dons! (hope not expectation) :crossfingers:

Motherwell are absolutely honking at the minute, but if there is any team they wanted to play after winning only one game in 12, then it is us. Have to come right out of the traps and have a go at them. The major worry is we aren't scoring goals and we dont seem to be able to keep our game mentality for a full 90 minutes. 1-1.

I've gone from thinking this is a must win to being must not lose - just got to stop the rot somehow.

Gorter

Kennedy MacDonald Pollock Scales

Ramadani Shinnie

Duk Clarkson Hayes

Miovski

Certainly not an ideal XI but you can only pish with the cock you've got.  Would be tempted to give Roberts a try but the fact he didn't even get off the bench yesterday makes it seem unlikely.

1-0 to us

Earlyish goal then hanging on for grim death with a particularly uncomfortable last 15 minutes. United, Killie and Coonty all lose and we get ourselves to likely within 4 points of avoiding automatic relegation.

Or in an alternate universe.......new young keeper gets red carded for a deliberate handball outside the box preventing 'Well from scoring and a 0-3 final scoreline, other teams below us all pick up points and we find ourselves in the midst of another relegation scrap

We all need to get behind the team from the start and stay behind them whatever happens.

The crowd was pretty good last night, helped I suppose by the sense of grievance about the sending off.

We are in freefall and the time for venting at our players and acting manager or chairman is not now.

We need to get a bit of the spirt of 1995, when the fans dragged the club from the relegation trap door.

Put the crack pipe down. They’ve humiliated us. Not a chance they deserve backing.
