Very optimistic about this ‘friendly’ on Tuesday. Always stirs a bit of emotion when we play them. 
Really enjoying watching Scotland just now and I think we will win this game too.

Maybe a few of the squad players to start and hopefully a run out for Lewis Ferguson. 
 

2-0 and a smile/partial grin from Steve Clarke. Would be incredible if Georgia managed a point against Norway too, but can’t see it..

Was a loon in 1973 match was played to "celebrate" 100th anniversary of occasion. 

We got gubbed 5-0, with Bobby Clark in goals. 

Hopefully history doesn't repeat itself.

I don't watch English football, so had literally never heard of this guy and have no idea if he's any good.

Is he better than McTominay, Gilmour, McGinn, Ferguson, McGregor, McLean and Armstrong?

My point was poorly made, per usual. 

In 1973 the Scottish side was on the up and optimism was high pre that game, which backfired big time.

I was attempting to compare with the pre match optimism this time around and introduce some caution. 

Clarke is a very shrewd manager so certainly hope that we will employ the tactics that will prevent England playing to their strengths.

Is this boy a midfielder? Anyway, fuck him! If he’s not committed, having committed to Clarke, joined the squad for the Cyprus game then pulled out for anything other than injury, then who gives a shit. We’ve got a brilliant midfield and players that are probably better than this boy that can’t get a game…

Anyone going to the game tomorrow? Never been to Scotland v England at Hampden.

Been to a couple of England v Scotland at Wembley. The 1996 game, when I was in genuine fear of getting a serious do in after the game. That was fucking mental. 
went to the game when Don H scored the winner too. That was brilliant, although still lost overall. Think it was Christian Dailey that had a point blank header saved in the last few minutes..

Not sure if he’s much better at the moment but sounds like he’s got huge potential. 
 

Obviously doesn’t have Irish blood or they’d have capped him when he was about 7 years old

Always enjoy looking back on Tom Cairney. He used to get linked with England and would always pull out of competitive games for Scotland. 
 

now he can look back on his international career as being just 2 friendly caps for Scotland and he ended up being good enough for neither
