What was the difference between Mccrorie getting sent off for us last season for accidentally catching the defender on the head whilst trying to wrestle free from a tug and body check, and then Goldson only getting a booking for same thing. Pundits agreeing ours was a red card and Goldsons being a booking. Even the pundatry is corrupt.

Said on another thread but deserves a mention.

70 games without a penalty against them for the hun cunts.

74 is the record in football, held currently by Barcelona who are under investigation for bribery.

Not a single penalty given against them since the introduction of VAR.

It’s cheating, it’s not even an opinion anymore, it’s factual.

Would wager big money they'll concede one in next 3 games, assuming they are 3 or 4 goals up at the time of course.

This is the thing. Today's penalty was a foul but it is the same foul that happens everytime a ball is put in the box, commited by strikers and defenders. If there was any consistency then every team should be getting a penalty and conceding a penalty every week. Would love to see our video boy Jordi(?) find some equivalent fouls that weren't given.

Wonder what the stats look like for when these hun penalties are given, i.e. how many are given when they are a couple of goals up versus how many are given when the game is tight?

every pen this season has been awarded when either drawing or losing, not one when they were in a winning position, that why the comparison to Celtics pens is off, they getting them when their out of sight in games, not when drawing for example and when they miss the pen get another one to make sure, we just bend over and take it up the arse, that dive the other week and then again yesterday should have been called out, and publicly asked for an explanation as to how the pen was given after it was checked, and why was cantwell not booked.

But until fans stop attending and hitting the clubs in the ONE place it hurts them then strap yourselves in nothing will change,

Not going to happen IMO. Currently, Aberdeen FC don't want to rock the boat. They know having the Huns in the league brings in more money so are happy to accept what goes with it. The clubs voted for Doncaster and the rest to stay in control so this is what you get. They voted the way they did in 2012 because fans had said they wouldn't renew season tickets but the officiating won't see the same response.

If anything, the other ugly sister should be coming out and saying something but they won't as their business model requires a Hun club in the top league. Their average attendance rose by over 10k when a Hun club was promoted from the Championship.

 Double post.

I think a good introduction to the game would be making everyone wear a straight jacket at corners and free kicks into the box. Not only would it prevent handsy pansy penalties but look funny as feck. You could then cart all the shit players off in a white van afterwards never to be seen again!

Perhaps an en masse walk out during a game might make an impact that will be seen by officials players etc,

Again, not going to happen IMO. The only way change will happen is if clubs call it out specifically and even then, it won't get any traction unless Celtic are involved.

SFA have confirmed that in a cost saving measure 50% of VAR has been switched off in games involving Rangers and Celtic. No details of which penalty box was given.

No no no. Despite always acting like it, Celtic are not the victims here. Whilst this issue is all about the blue cheek, there wider issue is that the structures of Scottish football are set up to benefit both cheeks. Celtic aren't on our side, their interests pretty much always align with the rangers.

The near 40 year league dominance of the Glasgow clubs and huge financial disparity is no longer enough. Now it's required the other 10 clubs suffer the indignity of blatant corruption, designed to artificially engineer a title fight between the top two. Celtic & The Rangers are Scottish football, therefore what's good for Celtic & The Rangers is good for Scottish football.

Back in 2002 the lesser lights showed a rare glimpse of their collective balls and resigned from the SPL over the then Old Firm's greed concerning the proposed TV deal (https://www.theguardian.com/football/2002/apr/16/newsstory.sport7). Similar action is required now in an effort to resuscitate the Scottish game, the ills of which stretch far beyond partisan officials and the manipulation of VAR.

They had penalties given against them in the League Cup this season (against Morton at Ibrox and against Hearts at Hampden).

VAR was in operation for both games.

And of course they have had penalties against them in European competition.

It looks like there's some kind of special case for domestic league games...

So we have seen Rangers accounts now and they show that they are in huge trouble if they don’t get champions league football every season. This goes a way to explain why they are getting these ridiculous decisions in the league.

However I wonder if refs in general are terrified of upsetting the absolute moon howlers in their support. The VAR review only picking 3 incidents and none of them involving either Celtic or rangers makes me think it’s more out of fear than anything else.

Yep, let's see them grow a set and all resign, yes it's a gamble, but we are now at that stage surely

I've no issue with shirt pulling and the usual GBH in the box before a corner, being looked at and rightly being clamped down on, but on condition EVERY one was reviewed and action taken

I've also said I want EVERY handball in the box to be a penalty, deliberate or not that way there I'd no interpretation or intent etc it's black and white,

If it’s a foul in box it should be classed as a foul anywhere on pitch. It’s not though & same with numerous types of fouls. If these type fouls were consistently given outside box then it wouldn’t be such a big debate when happens inside box 🤷 the consistency in that alone is shocking. Not to mention the consistency in Sevco getting penalties & never conceding any

The problem with this is money. Some clubs give the ugly sisters 3 stands at their home games so it's a big part of their income. So they won't want to give that up.

Too many in the SPL are Corner Shops playing at being Waitrose. As big as Celtic & The Rangers are as individual entities, within the league they have a 1/12th share, just like the rest of us.

They have nowhere to go. If they could move to England, it would have happened two decades back and any day since if given the chance.

Guess what? England doesn't want them. Big crowds count for nothing when you've a TV deal so large you can have empty stadiums and still report profit. No one down there wants to give them a cut of the pie, it's never happening. And as of right now there's no European Super League (not that they'd be invited), nor Atlantic League they could join.

They need us every bit as much as we need them, arguably more. Because a Scottish league without the filth is competitive, it brings fans to stadiums and the TV deal is easily replaceable.

Sky pays buttons for Scottish football. Set up a SPL TV streaming service, which offers fans the option of watching all their teams games (home & away) for a monthly fee. I'd happily pay the equivalent of Sky Sports for that and i'd imagine there'd be a hell of a lot of fans who'd feel the same.

Time clubs had ambitions beyond two home games against Celtic & two home games against The Rangers per season. If you're a Chairman and that's as far as your horizons stretch, you need to get the fuck out of football.

C'mon, of course it is. I'm astounded that still these things are being discussed in 2023. It's your game, you've presumably watched it most of your life. You know what you've been watching, no?

You, me and everyone else that doesn't support either arse cheek are merely a backdrop to the actual show. You know you are but you still cling on to some fanciful notion that one day something might change, one day it might be different. It never, ever will be.
