Hi all.

Here is another hypothetical situation for you:

You have just ordered a plate/ bowl of chips in the pub.

When the chips have arrived, do you put your sauce of choice on the side or all over the chips? And why?

Bonus Jumby fun question:

Q. Do you prefer straight-cut or crinkle-cut chips? And why?

A. If you chose crinkle, you're 100% WRONG!

Jumby-o

I've never ordered a bowl of chips in a bar. At home if plated up I wouldn't dream of putting sauce on them. Salt and vinegar is all that I permit in those circumstances.

Paradoxically I always put tomato ketchup on my chips if they're in a butty.

Bonus question answer : straight obviously.

I don't mind vinegar but only have it on chips from the chippy.

(Notice the correct use of chippy, and not the incorrect chipper.)

You've just outed yourself as an ausländer. It's chipper in these parts and by these parts I mean the fatherland. The home of the famous.

What would you consider to be some top quality chip toppings, bluto10 min?

almost anyone is a acceptable (within reason) as long as it’s sufficiently high quality produce and it’s provenance can be traced and verified
