There was a point in the 1st half last night when Robertson had loads of time to pick out an unmarked Shankland for an easy nod in. Instead he blootered the ball miles over the top towards the corner flag....truly Hayes-esque. 

Of course, fiveheid would probably have missed it.

Let’s be honest. He’s perfect for our league. But fuck me is he never an international footballer. He’s easily a stone overweight. A professional footballer in that state is beyond me. Get a nutritionist for fuck sake. He’s on decent money. 
 

Secondly he’s slow. Maybe as a result of his weight but modern elite defenders are both big, strong and quick. Any top team will have shankland in their pocket. That’s why we choose either dykes or adams. Both aren’t good enough either but they have more to concern defenders. Adam’s pace and dykes is just a nuisance chasing lost causes.
