Think it is more effective to lobby the powers that be directly and not via the media. Aberdeen were accused in some quarters of pandering to their fans by their Livingston statement. Personally I think we are within our rights to query Robertson choice as a referee after the league cup final as well ( believe it was the same VAR  official who said no foul on Duk in the final).

So what do you suggest, only have England-based refs participate in our top flight? What incentive does that give any young referees here to be the best they can? Spend thousands more on full-time English refs instead? Or if there’s “plenty of them” are you suggesting bringing in lower league refs from England that are likely to be not good enough?

I think that’s part of the problem they are fast tracking refs to try encourage people to get into it. But their is refs getting promoted from junior/HL that are terrible.

Not just us who get screwed. Squeaky bum time for the refs now, knowing that any mistake against either of those two can cost them the title. Just watch the other teams get shat on till the league is over.

There’s probably decent refs coming through the ranks but fast tracking them because of who they are related to etc is completely wrong. Nepotism is a massive problem in Scottish football and just another reason it needs a complete overhaul.

There really isn’t, it’s a part time profession in a full time league and until refs are made full time then absolutely nothing will change.

Yup, no incentive for anyone to become a ref here really is there? Let alone a good one.
 

Everything needs completely overhauled in Scottish football.
